Thanks to Justin for the heads up.

First look at Bobbi Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird, in her own tactical suit in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

  1. I liked Bobbi better as a brunette.

  2. Perfect. Now THAT is how you nail a comic book costume. There's some new elements in the suit (using gray instead of white) but I like it and overall it does the comic book suit justice. So damn excited to see it in action next week!

  3. Omg does she look hot! Batons on each side that's just badass

  5. She really does look the part doesn't marvels done a great job but Ihope the original costume also makes its way

  6. Oh, yes! I've been wanting to seem them go on missions together ever since I heard that Bobbi was coming to SHIELD. They would be so badass. I'll be in heaven if it actually happens.

  7. Shield loves its grey costumes like in the winter soldier not complaining I though it was captain Americas best costume but I want to know whether this comes next week its marvels only chance to grab the lost audience and the episode needs to be bloody good for that.
The ratings just worry me so much.

  8. That would be a different level of awesome.

  9. I really like it. It homages her comic book look while fixing some of the problems with said look and fitting the espionage setting of the show.

  11. love how Marvel releases cast promotional images for each of their new characters :D

    Take note CW!

  12. Still firmly in the green on the cancellation table. And if the word spread that the show is becoming good, it might win some viewers back...hopefully next week episode is at least as good at the last two.

  13. Blasphemy. And she look better in this picture. http://i.imgur.com/MlvBIFd.jpg

  14. Love the suit. She looks great. I do kind of wish they'd give her glasses/goggles like Mockingbird from the comics, though.

  15. wowwwwwwww

  16. A lot of viewers will never come back because they expect A-list movie stars every week and movie-level special effects.

And I don't think the next episode will win anyone over. For one, it doesn't seem very action-packed. For another, it's a character episode mostly about a show-only character.

While I am a bit worried about the show's status I think Marvel, and ABC/Disney, are willing to give it at least three seasons to tell their story. I'm sure they have a certain goal they want the show to accomplish in the scheme of things.

  17. OMG, yes yes yes. The Cavalry and Mockingbird beating down large mobs of people together!

I almost want to say that Miss Romanoff should join in on the fun - but a nerdgasm of THAT magnitue would just kill me, so let's not go there.

  18. She looks great, they definitely struck the right balance between keeping the look & feel of the comic costume and modifying it so it doesn't look silly in live action. I don't know why some people have complained that it's a copy of Black Widow's suit - pretty sure BW's is all-black, while this one has blue and (instead of the white from the comics) grey.

Speaking of balance, they've also managed to have their cake and eat it too in terms of Adrianne Palicki giving straight male viewers some major eye candy while still wearing a cool, non-skimpy, and practical outfit.

  19. Oh I would love Black Widow on there though I doubt it would happen. Sometimes I dream of Avengers 3 being this 2 part epic movie (like others have speculated) where every single hero in the MCU comes together to defeat Thanos. The Avengers, our beloved AOS, the Guardians, by the time the movie comes out then people like Daredevil as well. Its epic and it involves all the badass women coming together in an epic battle. Damn now I really want it!

  21. I wish there was like a 2 minute cameo for Coulson's entire time in Age of Ultron. Anything to get more visibility and ratings for this show.

But yeah, imagine it... Widow, May, Hill, Sif, Mockingbird, Gamora, Agent 13, etc... all kicking ass together? Oh. My. God.

  22. I'm still gritting my teeth over the fact that Thea, Quentin and Merlyn were all ignored in the Arrow poster. Especially since 2 of those are (gasp!) over 40 and I suspect there's some CW-ish ageism at play - Moira was never in a poster, either.

Actually, now that I think of that crappy poster compared to AoS's really cool red one with the characters' shadows making up part of the SHIELD logo, AoS definitely has the upper hand in terms of promotional art this year.

  23. I don't know if they need her as part of the regular cast, but I do hope to see a lot of her if only to restore some of the gender balance to this cast. We started out with a gender-equal cast, but with Simmons being away at Hydra and Mac & Hunter joining (so did Hartley but then she died...), plus the 2 new villains being male (even 3 if you count Bakshi), it was starting to get pretty male-heavy.

  24. same, I don't really want to think about the poster anymore...too much drama surrounding that.

Arrows promo campaign is pretty darn crappy anyway.

I was actually surprised that Elijah was shown more frontal on TOs poster this year while he was in the back last year. He's close to 40 as well.

TheCW is probably convinced that their demo won't be pleased with older actors being on posters and I really can't fault them for it.
Only a few of us were pissed that Merlyn/Lance never are on a poster, the most complained about Laurel being so close to Oliver and included on "Team Arrow" sicne she's not part of the originals....no...no....calm down mac....calm down...everything is fine

  26. Going off-topic here, but I have to admit: I wonder whether the same outcry would've occurred if it had been Thea next to Oliver on that poster. Or if Laurel was married or a lesbian or whatever. Because something tells me that the concern that Laurel will... wait for it... sabotage Olicity was behind the majority of these comments. Sigh. Seriously, the people who make such comments keep using the "Oliver/Diggle/Felicity is the ORIGINAL TEAM ARROW!!!!!!" argument, but it seems like a smokescreen to me. Roy joined Team Arrow nearly a year after Felicity did, so he's definitely not on the same level as the original trio - but since he's out of the question as a romantic prospect for Oliver, unlike the Lance sisters, he doesn't get any hate for being in that foundry.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well that was certainly what I took away from that as well, shippers feeling threatened.
Of course not all of the Laurel-hate is coming from shippers but a good deal comes from that fanbase.

Also the term "original team arrow" doesen't really qualify here since Laurel aided the Arrow before Felicity was even introduced.

  28. Black Widow doesn't even have her own suit. It's the standard SHIELD Tactical Uniform lol. Hill wears the same one in Avengers. I know people are dumb but damn.

  29. People just always have to bitch about SOMETHING, no matter how esoteric and silly. I noticed a bunch of folks complaining about how Mockingbird's hallway fight was a copy of Black Widow's in Iron Man 2 (which: even if they're similar - yeah, it's not like both women were trained by SHIELD so it makes sense for them to have similar moves or anything...) over on AoS's Facebook page. Good grief!

  30. God, I bloody love her.
