Parenthood - Final Season - A Look Ahead

The final season of Parenthood is upon us, the 13 episode farewell season premieres on NBC on September 25. With the Parenthood returning to our screens in a little over 2 weeks, I thought we could have a look at what we can expect from the final run of Parenthood.

Firstly, we know that it was a long tough road to Parenthood's renewal, we know it wasn't easy getting NBC to have faith in this series for one last run, I sure hope that the show wraps up most of the storylines in this farewell season.

We also know that Julia will get re-united with Chris, her ex-boyfriend from law school, Chris will be brought into the series as a new co-worker at Julia's new job. But what does that mean for Joel and Julia, is it over?

Also, judging from the information we have got through the promotional photos and the promos, it's safe to say that this will be a very enjoyable season. Be sure to expect some emotional moments in this season of Parenthood, and creator Jason Katims has stated, “We've never told a story about losing someone in the family, and that is a very difficult story for us to tell. But it’s one that I feel is a reality". So we definitely can expect the loss of a major character this season.

The 15 second promo that was shown during the Primetime Emmy awards doesn't give away too much information on the season, however it does confirm the cliffhanger from last season that Amber is indeed pregnant. The pregnancy should be an interesting story-line throughout the 6th season.

Parenthood is known for its waterworks, and being its farewell season we definitely can expect plenty of that this season, but we can also expect some happy, cheerful moments. With this being Parenthood's final season there is bound to be some farewell's with some of our favorite characters of the show, which won't be easy.

The premiere episode is titled 'Vegas', so that gives us some sort of idea on where the episode will be
set, and the photos give us some sort of clue on what the episode will be centered on. For one, we see Drew and girlfriend Natalie, doing some modernizing of possibly the new Braverman house, as well as Kristina sharing a happy moment with son, Max. However we do see Hank looking a bit emotional - but after all, it is Hank.

MY WISHLIST

A long time fan of Parenthood, I want to see more of the real-life centered issues that Parenthood is known for. Last season's cliffhanger of Amber's pregnancy is almost certain to deliver that this season.

I also want to see some traditional Braverman dinner's, like last season's finale with the reuniting of Haddie with the rest of the family, those type of scene's do make Parenthood what it is.

I do want the show to be able to bring back some old characters, we already know that Hank's wife, Sandy will be returning. However the return of Haddie will make the final season feel that much more special.

Another thing I would like to see in Parenthood is some alternate endings, this would create a much more dynamic ending to the series, which after its incredible run, it certainly deserves.

But most of all, I want there to be a happy ending on the last episode of the season, the last ever episode of the season will no doubt be an extremely emotional episode for both the Braverman clan as well as the viewers of the show, and ending on a positive note can make Parenthood that much more memorable.

Parenthood's farewell season premiere's on NBC on Thursday 25th September at 10/9c! But what do YOU want to see from the final season of Parenthood? Leave your thoughts down below!
