  1. For me it's hands down Outlander. It's cinematic, stunning visuals and amazing leads. I've been enjoying learning about Scotland and Claire is very beautiful :)

  2. Legends, The Night Shift and Reckless have been excellent. The Last Ship, Tyrant and The Lottery have been very good. Extant lost me a couple weeks ago. It's been a great summer otherwise

    ReplyDelete
  3. Girl Meets World, Penny Dreadful, and Other. I noticed that Teen Wolf wasn't listed. I can't wait until the new season of Penny Dreadful starts.

    ReplyDelete
  4. For me first was definitely Penny Dreadful, followed by The Leftovers, Outlander, The Strain, You're the worst and Dominion.

    ReplyDelete
  5. The Leftovers surprisingly good penny dreadful and faking it

    ReplyDelete
  6. @Sarah Teen Wolf is not a new show :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Manhattan and You're the worst. Penny Dreadful was spring show, not summer.

    ReplyDelete
  8. You're the Worst - my personal favorite comedy right now.

Penny Dreadful - favorite drama. Eva Green acting her socks off. What more do you need.

Having read the books, I really wanted to love the Strain but it's not that alluring. I still have to watch this Sunday's episode.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Legends. I still plan to watch Gang Related and The Last Ship at some point, and maybe Extant.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The Leftovers is my favorite. I didn´t expect anything from it and was surpriced how much I enjoyed it.

Outlanders and Halt and Catch Fire also got my vote, as did Intruders, even though I´m not really sure that I like it yet. It´s just different and I like the actors.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Dominion, Finding Carter, Penny Dreadful, The Leftovers and The Strain.

  12. Not a lot of votes for The Knick, which I think is clearly the best (and my favourite) new show of the summer. Wonderful setting, great acting and simply fantastic directing by Steven Soderbergh. People, you are really missing out on something amazing!

I also voted for The Strain, which really isn't a good show, but for some reason I can't wait to tune in every week. A very entertaining show (and a great wig....).

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's gonna be Penny Dreadful and Outlander though there are the only shows I watched this summer but I'm very much a fan! Still need to watch The Leftovers.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Girl Meets World, Finding Carter, Last Ship, and Young and Hungry

    ReplyDelete
  15. The Leftovers and The Night Shift for me, love both shows!

I still haven't given up on The Last Ship entirely but it's been somehow a disappointment so far (I am way behind on it), undecided whether I will finish it or not.

    ReplyDelete
  16. The Leftovers and Outlander. They have quickly become my favorites in the matter of one season. Both fantastic shows.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The Last Ship and Legends

    ReplyDelete
  18. All those shows are new? Only ones that are on my radar, are the last ship and the strain

    ReplyDelete
  19. Halt and Catch Fire; while no masterpiece I really, really enjoyed it, even though its finale kind of sucked

    ReplyDelete
  20. Oh, I missed the "new" part. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Penny Dreadful. I want to watch Outlander because I have heard so many good things about it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Penny Dreadful is definitley my No.1 summer show, the others I voted for are The Strain, Outlander, The Last Ship and Dominion. I would have voted for The Leftovers instead of Dominion if it was there though.

I also started watching Da Vinci's Demons from the start and I absolutely love that too!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Penny Dreadful and The Strain have gotten me through the summer.

Penny Dreadful, The Strain and The Knick for me. I love Sean Bean, but I find Legends very dull and uninteresting.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Some of these shows ended before summer started (just saying).

Penny Dreadful and Rush are my favourite from the list above. I also loved Salem.

Other new shows I really enjoyed watching this summer are Faking It, The Knick and Matador (a nice unexpected surprise).

    ReplyDelete
  26. Chasing Life.Young & Hungry I sorta liked.Giving Girl Meets World a try.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Without a doubt hands down for me was and still is Night Shift that show hit on all cylinders, just *WoW* also I kinda enjoyed the Quest!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Chasing Life,
    Faking It,
    Finding Carter,
Young and Hungry and Mystery Girls

    ReplyDelete
  29. Dominion and Chasing Life were my favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The Last Ship, The Strain, Murder In The First, The Leftovers and You're The Worst. Would've voted for Penny Dreadful but it's not a summer series.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Definitly 'The Leftovers'. It's probably one of my most favourite shows ever!
I also liked The Last Ship, Finding Carter, The Strain, Penny Dreadful, Welcome to Sweden, Tyrant, Young & Hungry, Faking It

I also plan to watch Outlander and Legends sometime soon

    ReplyDelete
  32. Others:
    The Musketeers
    The Almighty Johnsons

Both of these shows aired before this summer elsewhere in the world, but they are new to the US this summer. Also, the 2nd season of Almighty Johnsons will air late this fall, so it is no longer a summer show, but still.

  33. Those 2 plus Penny Dreadful got my votes. I found Leftovers to be quite depressing, yet I couldn't stop watching it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I voted for Faking It cuz it Rocks! I'm hoping Karmy will be allowed to happen after season 2.
Hopefully we will get to season 3 and Karmy will be in play then. Come on Carter don't let your
    biggest fan base down ok!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Chasing Life, Faking it and Penny Dreadful

    ReplyDelete
  36. Outlander all the way ! I'm excited for this saturday's episode ! :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. even though technically it's not a "new show", the summer show I enjoyed the most was definitely 24:LAD, but off this list: Penny D, You're the worst, Last Ship, Dominion, then to a lesser degree - Extant and the Strain

    ReplyDelete
  38. Without question, the rank is
    #1 The Knick
#2 Halt & Catch Fire; #3 Penny Dreadful, #4 The Leftovers; #5 Intruders

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't know what's wrong with me. I watch a lot of tv shows, really don't like the leftovers

    ReplyDelete
  40. Outlander
    Penny Dreadful
    the Leftovers

    than
    You're the worst
    Extant
    Satisfaction
    the Strain

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dominion and Crossbones

sad to see both canned :(

    ReplyDelete
  42. The Leftovers. Easily the best new show out this summer. Then Penny Dreadful. The Strain has been disappointing, but it's still good enough.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The Leftovers (beautiful), The Strain (fun), Penny Dreadful (haunting), Gang Related (underrated!) and Intruders (creepy).

    ReplyDelete
  44. For me, it would be The Strain and You're the Worst. Penny Dreadful, Tyrant, The Knick, and Outlander were also great. I didn't like The Leftovers too much (not because I thought it was boring, it just didn't grab my attention).

    ReplyDelete
  45. Finding Carter, The Last Ship and Penny Dreadful.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Outlander and Satisfaction. I also occasionally watched Finding Carter, Reckless, Night Shift, Young and Hungry and Dominion.
I was really excited about shows like The Strain, The Last Ship, Extant, The Lottery and Leftovers, but after watching a few episodes, I lost interest. Surprisingly, the shows that I ended up liking were the ones that I expected to hate, like Satsifaction and Finding Carter. I've never watched The Knick, but I'll have to check it out.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yeah, it's crazy how many new Summer shows they had this year. I don't know if that's the norm every year, or if it was because they cancelled so many of the regular season shows.. But it really does seem like more shows than usual.......I wonder how many will be cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I just started watching Faking it and it was better than I expected, so I'm glad it was renewed. You're right about it not being Summer. I think it went from April to mid-June, but since it premiered around the time that the regular season was ending, I decided to treat it like a "summer show".

    ReplyDelete
  49. You're The Worst, The Leftovers, Penny Dreadful, Outlander and The Strain.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I really like Penny Dreadful and Crossbones. Dominion and The Strain have been disappointing for me. No doubt I was expecting a lot more, but both are still interesting enough. I have yet to watch Extant, The Leftovers and Outlander and check it out Satisfaction and maybe Finding Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Extant & Young and Hungry

    ReplyDelete
  52. Outlander (not Outlanders) was the only light in the otherwise boring summer...thankfully I had still some shows to catch up on.

    ReplyDelete
  53. That's the premise? Maybe I check it out, sounds interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Come on now, there's no reason to slam other shows. Just because *you* don't like it doesn't mean tht other people don't.
We're just asked to select our fav shows, not to disrespect other ones.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I just watched three new show this summer, i dont want to watch more, i already have a longggggggg list!.
    My favorites in order:
    The Leftover.
    Penny Dreadful.
    Dominion.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Definitely, Dominion, Girl Meets World, and Young and Hungry were my new summer shows I rather enjoyed.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Huh? Which show did i slam?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Only two on the poll list for me............"Penny Dreadful" and "The Strain", but the "Best New Series of 2013/2014" is hands down "The Blacklist" and "Sleepy Hollow". Their second seasons won't start soon enough for this viewer! Nobody, 4 NOW!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Valerie Baerenzung19 September 2014 at 17:32

you didn't slam any show... I think that poster didn't know there was a show called 'You're the Worst' lol

    ReplyDelete
  60. There's nothing wrong with you. I'm now giving it second chance (have 1,5 episode left) and I don't really see anything special in it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Witches of East End and Devious Maids were left off

    ReplyDelete
  62. No, I actually didn't... but thanks oh so much for answering for me sweety.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Penny Dreadful & The Strain - cannot wait for S2 of Penny Dreadful

    ReplyDelete
  64. These aren't new shows. Their first season aired in 2013.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Chasing Life is in the top 5 and Power is last...I can't take this poll seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Chasing Life and Finding Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Outlander, Penny Dreadful.
Murder in the First and Extant are ok. Did not liked The Leftovers
