    This is really nice. I was expecting something horrible, but I like this. I do find it interesting that Stefan and Elena are holding hands, though. There are way too many guys on this show. Three girls and seven guys is ridiculous.

    despite me being a giant Tyler fan (Trevino is a capable actor, he's given crap but does well with it) that was hilarious because it probably was Trevinos attitude at the photoshoot :P


    I love Alaric walking up behind Elena, I know he's not a villain anymore but he damn well looks somehow sinister

    I don't like it. Too much going on, overly photo shopped I can barely figure out who the guys are.


    I would have put Elena on the ground with Ric/Jeremy next to her (family/Elena emotional issues), Bonnie/Damon (trapped together), Stefan/Caroline (getting together?), Tyler/Matt (in town together)...not sure what to do with Enzo. But at least this gives you an idea of the season.

    I like the potential for Alaric this season. They seem to be going for a "I'm trying to take care of everyone but I'm having trouble taking care of myself" type of thing. If they do it right it could be really good. As always, I remain skeptical.

    LOL! I know and I was one of the few who might have been still optimistic (one might say naive or even worse addicted lol) about the show (I still love some characters no matter what, judge me!) but this is just perfect :D !
    Still if the writers read this comment section it sure says a lot that everybody's pratically doing a happy dance about it, not being ship-related :D ! Hopefully they'll take note.
    P.S : One could argue Elena and Stefan are holding but f*ck it, this is great!! Also why is Caroline down :( :( ? And yes I love to "rant" about small details :D !

    They already shot one crossover episode which focuses on the original father and mother when they settled in mystic falls for the 1st time.Unique way to bring both the shows together!

    As much as I love Sebastian Roché and Mikael, I don't think him becoming a regular would be a good idea because I feel like his story would become redondant at some point! It kind of already is, even if I absolutely love the fact they'll explore the family's twisted dynamic this season! I love both parents but I think they'll have to die eventually ;) ! There are still flashbacks though ;) !

    i heard a serious spoiler,i don't know if it's true.Both of the TVD and TO team will work together to bring back damon and bonnie back and the same time get rid of esther and mikael-two for two-taking place of each other as per witch mythology.That way,both the universe get rid of their own problems.

    Yeah I think Julie Plec would want to do this. I think I heard something like that somewhere as well and it's true that she's very inclined to do several crossovers! Wait and see if the logistics allow it. Hopefully they won't do something that's ship related or if they do I would want them to bring real closure to some of them ;) !

    With TVD I would always (especially at that point) take everything with a grain of slat.

    Alaric has the potential to add maturity into a show starring a bunch of emotional toddlers. But given that when he was a main character the show was still run by Kevin Williamson and in his last season he wasn't himself half the time I wouldn't hope for too much.


    There have been to many behind the scenes changes since season 3.


    Especially looking at season 3 Alaric who tried to keep Damon away from his stepdaughter and comparing him to season 4 Alaric who pushed Damon to "get the girl".

    Consistency has always been a problem for this show but I don't think WIlliamson is the answer. His track record is just as spotty and The Following certainly doesn't do him any favors.

    The tagline "All spell breaks loose" makes me think of the doppelganger spell being tied to the spell over Mystic Falls, especially when I see Stefan and Elena holding hands. It might be impossible to break the no-magic spell without breaking the spell that makes Stefan and Elena doppelgangers. I sort of hope this is the case because I would like to see what they look like without any magic making them carbon copies of other people.

    Fans loved the Damon/Alaric bromance and pushed hard for Damon/Elena as a romantic couple.


    They took the obvious block out of the road and turned Alaric from Elenas guardian into Damons drinking bud :(

    That's where itgets confusing.Alaric and damon has so much bad blood between them,it's kinda weird although i admit i do enjoy their bromance.Then again,elena is dating someone who repeatedly kept killing her brother,so logic in this show is a bit twisted,i'd say!

    You're right we might not have seen the last of the doppelganger mythology and I guess it'll be good this "curse" is broken once and for all by the end of season 6, so the characters might start making a fresh start, if there's a 7th season (and I'm still quite positive there will be one!)

    I would have loved to see a complete flashback episode of elena's life when there was no salvatore brothers in picture and when both her parents were alive,whichout all of these dangers and complications looming in the horizon all the time.

    Yes, I agree that there will most likely be a 7th season. I have yet to come across a credible source claiming otherwise.


    Stefan and Elena were supposed to be the final pair, the last two doppelgangers, but if they're still carbon copies of Silas and Amara then the spell that created them is obviously still in effect. Julie Plec said that there won't be anymore doppelgangers on the show as far as the evil twin and doppelganger-palooza stuff, but I think it still needs to be addressed that Stefan and Elena still look like Silas and Amara, and their blood must still have power if the spell is still hanging over Mystic Falls.

    It's true, we saw a flashback at the end of Season 3 of Elena when she was a cheerleader stringing Matt along. Elena went to her mother for advice about whether she should break up with Matt because she wasn't sure if she was really into him, and Elena's mother told her to let Matt go. The flashback was sort of brought on by a conversation Elena had with Klaus about how Elena was leading on both of the Salvatore brothers while she took forever to choose between them. The flashback was a dream Elena had, and when she woke up she apologized to Matt for the way she treated him. Then Stefan walked in and Elena made clear that she was choosing Stefan. It was very heartwarming...until Damon and Matt interfered with Elena and Elijah's plan and that led to Rebekah killing Elena.

    I think either Stefan and Elena will have to cease to be doppelgangers as a result of breaking the spell, or the only way to break the spell completely is to move Stefan and Elena into different bodies and kill their doppelganger ones.

They do this every time and it's so annoying, they have attractive actors and yet they can't find a way to take a proper picture of them. Maybe they should spend more money on getting a better photographer and less on computer engineers.

    Hayley & Marcel had bigger roles in Season 1 than Elijah did. Elijah had no storyline, Marcel had a major storyline - his obsession with being king of the city - Marcel is more relevant to the plot than Elijah.

    Well, I like both Hayley and Marcel but I agree Elijah definitely shouldn't be used to prop up other characters this season. Him getting his groove back on wouldn't hurt ! But I think we'll get to see that. The family's reunion SL should give him more material!

    Alaric surely doesn't look happy in this pic. In season 3 he went schizo after Esther created an alter ego but now I want him to be a bit evilish, a bit of a savage, more violent and more on his own. Julie needs to work on his character if she wants to pull of a spin off with him.

    There was an Alaric-centric spin-off in talks? I thought those were only in my dreams lol!
    Anyways, I'm very much into Alaric being all the things you mentioned but I think it's only logical the character will go down this road this season. I don't know what the MF gang are actually up against but I don't think the new big bad will manage to avoid Alaric's wrath if he/she attacks his loved ones.

    I have no problem with sending Hayley to off-screen land so she can go live with her child. I would have been fine with her staying dead in 1x22, but ultimately the show seems to revolve around her (in the same way that TVD revolves around Elena).

    Elijah could be an actual character on the show but the writers and JP chose not to do that. They opted not to make him a lead character on the show and I'm not sure how they can fix that at this point because from the spoilers we've gotten about Season 2 nothing will change.

    Now that I've seen this a second time, I just noticed that it's two mirrored images of Mystic Falls. The dark side on the left has the full moon, the woods, and cut grass. Damon and Bonnie are on the dark side. The light side has tall grass and the majority of characters on it. This poster is conveying what we've already guessed, that someone has created another purgatory. Luke and Liv's coven had time to create a limbo because Kol sounded the alarm ahead of time. Considering that this coven doesn't care if vampire spirits end up in their limbo, it's looking more like they might have pulled an Esther and resurrected an Original vampire in the body of a witch. Considering that Davina helped a vampire murder witches, and she's now practicing an unknown form of magic without help or regulation from spirits, it could actually be possible that Kaleb is Kol. Even if he isn't Kol, Kaleb was probably sent to watch Davina because she's unpredictable and dangerous.


    If the limbo that Damon and Bonnie are in works the same way as the one in New Orleans, then two witches would have to die in order for Damon and Bonnie to be resurrected, but that would only happen if the other spirits allow it and help it along. I don't see that happening. Damon is where he is for a reason. I think we'll see Ian Somerhalder and people will probably think at some point that Damon is alive, but it won't be Damon.

    I heard he's supposed to suffer "angst" over being an Original vampire, and the new character Jo is supposed to add to his stress with her attraction to him. However, the sneak peek shows him being more concerned about Elena than anything else, and he's otherwise playful. If there's any angst, it'll only come up while he's day-drinking.

    Clearly the CW has finally hired someone who knows what they are doing in photoshop and decided to put a bit of thought into this poster. Last couple seasons have been strange... the fruit thing was really weird and random love triangle shots at abandoned mansions is getting old. Don't get Caroline on the ground and all the cleavage that suddenly appeared.. the women look beautiful without having to put them in super tight dresses.

    I'm sure if this spin-off happens down the line,some of the TVD characters will pass on to it eventually-most probably caroline.As far as julie is concerned,nothing concrete can be predicted about that woman!What she says seriously,ends up not happening at all at times & what is a joke to her,becomes reality sometime unexpectedly.

    It's because Alaric is an Original vampire of the same caliber as Mikael, the vampire to end all vampires. True that Davina is powerful enough to subdue Mikael, but I don't believe that Davina is technically still a witch. Witches get their power from spirits, and Davina might actually be practicing earth magic since her ancestors threw her out of their coven. She definitely wasn't getting power from the Other Side because she's still going to have power in Season 2, after the Other Side is gone. Klaus said once that witches are only as powerful as their dead, so witches have limited power and aren't as difficult to fight as, say, travelers. The NOLA coven probably had enough power to pin Klaus to a wall because Esther was giving them that power, along with a graveyard's worth of other dead witches who might have gotten some power from the Originals' bloodletting when they consecrated Esther. Luke and Liv's coven doesn't have Esther or any Original vampire blood. They're very old and probably large in number, but they can still be defeated by someone strong, fast, or powerful enough. Stefan and Elena might even discover a way to use their blood to destroy whatever limbo that coven has created. The final pair is meant to destroy anything created by witches.

    We know that in 5x22 Sheila was convinced that & told Bonnie that she had taken care of her, presumably via witchy intervention. Damon wasn't anticipated to be part of that and certainly wasn't a witch: the simplest explanation may be that he is there because Bonnie chose to hold his hand as the Other Side went down. And we don't know that they actually died - it's been described as being in limbo. Wherever they have ended up does not _seem_ to be what Sheila bargained for - and I doubt she would have dealt directly w/ the twins' coven if she knew what they are really about, which, from what we've _heard_, is evil to some degree. If Bonnie and Damon have been together continuously, it seems unlikely that Damon was "replaced." However, I do believe that he will change in at least one significant way when he does come back, possibly returning human.

    I think you're right. Damon became part of whatever deal Sheila made for Bonnie because he was holding Bonnie's hand when she got moved. If the EW article said that Damon and Bonnie are BETWEEN life and death, then whoever wrote that article probably misinterpreted something. That often happens with online reporters, especially when it comes to spoilers. Damon and Bonnie are definitely dead. Their spirits just haven't moved on far enough for them to be dead and gone forever. They are definitely much further out of reach than the Other Side, which was basically a dark lobby for spirits to just wait around to get resurrected by any available witch. I don't know about Damon being human. I think that would be a little bit pointless because he would only go out and make himself a vampire again, but Damon will come back in a way that is irreversible. The EPs decided to destroy the Other Side because there were way too many resurrections and fans got tired of it, and there will be no more resurrections. I never said that Damon has already been switched out with a witch, but he might be by the time he's brought back to the living. At the very least I think he'll have permanent amnesia.

    I _do_ think that a good plot twist at this point would be for Damon to have amnesia. Unfortunately, they kinda wasted that device last year on Stefan IMHO, so it might come off as lamely repetitive in S6. I does seem likely that he will return somehow changed in a way that is irreversible, which is what I believe will ultimately lead to the end of Delena.
    I wasn't thinking of the particular EW post. I agree that quotes often get misinterpreted via the numerous entertainment reports/spoilery services - and I'm very irritated by the so many flat-out factual errors I have seen of late. What I did see in print (at least a few weeks back) was JP being quoted as saying that Bamon are "not dead per se."
    Looking at the synopsis for 6x02, Bamon are mystified as to their current location, but believe that they can get back home, which indicates to me that they aren't dead. I'm leaning toward they thinking that they are in a "dark dimension" of some kind - have a look at the shading of the two clocks in the promo. poster.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they're in a dark dimension. That would be in keeping with the books. The thing is, it's been said multiple times that while the dark dimension has been introduced as a possibility when it comes to life after death, the writers will never explore the dark dimension as an SL because it's too dark for TVD. It'll remain a terrifying mystery full of things that aren't fit for network television.


    You have a point about the spoilers being wrong. There could be some red herrings out there. JP, Matt Davis, and Nina Dobrev all played two truths and a lie, a game in which they each said two truths about the coming season and a lie, and it's up to the fans to guess which is the lie. Alaric and Elena being romantically involved had to be Matt Davis' lie, which means that something extra-terrestrial will come in contact with Alaric early this season. This mythology being explored does open the door for interdimensional travel or even an alternate reality. It would be cool if Damon runs into another version of himself living a different life, and the other Damon is the one who ends up coming back and seeing Elena. JP said there wouldn't be anymore doppelgangers, but these wouldn't be doppelgangers per se. Besides, the poster we're looking at makes the town look like it has a doppelganger.

    For me they ruined this show and TO - is as bad. I was looking forward to the season 5 of TVD - and it was bad, like really bad and TO was .... the same- i mean they should just rename the show to Hayley's diaries. After saying this, the poster is actually cool but not enough to even consider watching season 6 .
    Ok so this is my opinion only, i know many people still like both shows and i respect that! :)
