So when we catch up with The Vampire Diaries, where will Alaric be? Well, he won’t be in Mystic Falls, considering that entering the town would enact a spell that would kill him. Instead, it sounds like Alaric gets back into the teaching game and compels himself a job as a professor. And knowing Alaric, it won’t be long before he finds a lady love—something that executive producer Julie Plec teased at Comic-Con.
EW has an exclusive look at Hit the Floor‘s Jodi Lyn O’Keefe in the season-six premiere. O’Keefe is playing Jo, a doctor at the university hospital who’s been described as “tough.” Could this be Alaric’s next girlfriend? Hey, if Elena’s pre-med, she’ll probably approve.

I hope this gets a reasonable amount of screen time. I'm interested to see if this show can pull off writing an adult relationship.

Why is Alaric not burning up from being in the sunlight? He's a vampire and Bonnie is dead so she obviously can't make him a daylight ring.

ReplyDeleteYep. In scene where Alaric drags an unconscious Caroline back into Mystic Falls High you can clearly see him sizzling in the sun.

ReplyDeleteI believe that the characters 'trapped' on the other side when it collapsed are actually going to be returned to our world in the same bodies but with new memories.
Lexie will be ( I hope anyway ) playing 'new' character 'Amy', who hasn't been cast yet.
( Damon & Bonnie { possibly Kol } will be playing new characters for part of next season )

They could be saying that about Lexie so we will not question why she is on set.
ReplyDeleteNo! I'm saying Kol ( if he isn't in the body of Kaleb over on The Originals like Esther is Cassie and Finn is Vincent ) along with Lexie, Damon, and Bonnie might all be back as new characters who find their way back to Mystic Falls next season.
Before it collapsed we saw Lexie go off into a white...ish light, as did Shelia, as well as Damon and Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteThat white light was them returning to our world as new characters as part of how Bonnie's Grams mentioned she had found her peace as she had all ready looked out for her.
Had to look her up, she looked really familiar and I recognized the name but couldn't place her... Nash Bridges is where I saw her.

ReplyDeleteI know. I've noticed that too. I think I mentioned it on Twitter once, but I can't remember. Jo looks and might even act a little like Isobel, but she's a doctor like Meredith. It makes me wonder what was going through the producers' minds when they cast this actress for her role. Alaric is getting a second chance on two fronts, and this time he's the vampire.
