Hey all,
Much to my chagrin, the first poll on day six saw AMC's Breaking Bad crumble at the hands of one-season wonder Firefly. That makes it the fourth seeded show to exit the competition in the first round. Our second poll saw Sherlock annihilate Sons of Anarchy.
Today sees fantasy drama - and SpoilerTV fan favourite - Once Upon a Time taking on The Office. We also have Orphan Black facing up against Dark Angel.

ReplyDeleteI loathe OUAT so The Office for me in the first poll. The second one was hard. I loved Dark Angel and was crushed when it was canceled. That said, Orphan Black is a better written and better acted show so I went with Orphan Black.

ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time is my favorite show airing on network tv at the moment. I love the varied characters and the universal themes of love, hope, and redemption. I voted for Dark Angel based on season 1 only. Season 2 was not as good because of the introduction of Alec.That character annoyed me to no end, and to this day I think that is why I cannot watch Supernatural without cringing.

ReplyDeleteThis is the first day of the competition that there isn't any show that i really care that much about. I guess i'm going with OUAT (mostly because i think the UK version of The Office is much better) and Orphan Black, though it had a pretty mediocre sophomore season.

If you don't vote for Orphan Black it means you haven't watched it. And if you haven't watched it you NEED to watch it now! One of the most amazing show on T.V. right now. It's kinda funny, many of the best shows are not the most well known, right? But this one is a beautiful gem that you have to look up!
ReplyDeleteOh, and what the hell, minor-spoiler: The main actress ends up playing 7 different characters over the course of the first season alone. Often with herself! Not kidding, it's that kind of show, look it up, you won't regret it! :)

ReplyDeleteOn another note: First Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wins, then Angel, and now Firefly? Joss Whedon is on a roll right now! Not complaining, all those shows totally deserves their victories! Kinda worried we're eventually gonna see them face off against each other. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. vs Angel, what am I gonna vote for? Probably the currently airing show, since it's, well, currently airing, fresh in the mind, plus it'd show to ABC we support it big time! :)

ReplyDeleteI've only watched OUaT, but not The Office, so that wouldn't be a fair decision. On the other hand, I love both so much, Orphan Black and Dark Angel, and I'm not capable to decide which one is better. Ugh, I think I'm not going to vote this round...
ReplyDeleteOh to have the shows switch places in these polls. I don't watch either show in the first poll but I like both of the shows in the second one. In the end, I'm going with the underdog because Orphan Balck is definitely going to win.

ReplyDeleteI'm surprised Firefly beat Breaking Bad because it always seemed like Breaking Bad was more popular with the masses...Firefly does have a pretty strong cult following though. Glad it won :)
Two easy choices again today (although I'm starting to dread round two)
ReplyDeleteI can't say I loves the wicked witch story line but I do still love once upon a time. Still unsure what to think about froze a addition but i guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Orphan black for my second choice. I recently watched both seasons and loves it. Astounded by how amazing Tatiana maslany is. I always wanted to watch dark angel (Jensen ackles and Michael weatherly!!!) but just never got around to it.
Voted for Once Upon a Time and Dark Angel. I like Orphan Black a lot, but Dark Angel has a special place in my heart.
