The Mindy Project - We're a Couple Now, Bitches! - Advance Preview : "Frozen, Murder and Striptease"

They're a couple now, bitches! I know that the Season 3 premiere has been changed from using “bitches” to “haters” because people could have been offended by "bitches" - but I'm not offended (yes I will keep using this word). Now, let's talk about the episode.

The title of the review is catchy, I think you might be intrigued. Don't worry, no one is gonna die - yet... Let's drop the suspense right now. I promise I won't spoil the episode, I just want to prepare you for the episode because you can't miss it.

This episode was written for the fans. This episode is all about sex. From start to finish. First of, Mindy and Danny are in bed. They are about to have sex and the credits start to roll. It never gets graphic, we're on FOX, not HBO - but it's nicely done. The music used for the opening titles is "More Than A Feeling" by Boston, and it's wonderful, goosebumps of sweetness.
Then, we're at the practice in a scene between Danny and Peter. Peter asks for advice from Danny because he has heard from Mindy that Danny was very good with his mouth.
First, he doesn't understand what that means but, once he does, he goes looking for Mindy. And, of course, everyone is already aware that he knows how to use his tongue. Mindy can't keep things to herself and that's what the episode focuses on. Unlike her, Danny keeps everything to himself. They have a little fight but, at the end, it all comes alright.

The episode is sweet and funny. It's impossible not to love Mindy and Danny. They were not destined to be together, but, they love each other, and we're thankful for that. Kaling and Messina have insane chemistry.

The episode is not just about them. Peter is feeling low, he might be losing his girlfriend. We also have classic Tamra moments! Her character is hilarious and she certainly brings her own personal flair to the show. Beverly has a ticket for an execution, and Jeremy no longer has all his teeth. His character is the least interesting, it's disappointing because Mindy and Jeremy's hookups were fun to watch in Season One's first episodes. There is hope it might change this season, because he has some funny scenes.

Now, you might be wondering "where are the striptease, the murder and Frozen?" There's only one answer to that question: watch live!
The Mindy Project kicks off Season 3 on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 9:30/8:30c.

Note: 7/10 - The Mindy Project returned with a promising season premiere, containing all the ingredients that make the show so unique. The Mindy Project has quickly become the best comedy on network TV. It's a funny and smart show that deserves better ratings.

Now, it's your turn! Are you excited for this season? What do you expect from the show? Do you think Mindy and Danny can make it work? Hit the comments!

Thank you! Totally! New Girl got a full season (syndication) with slipping ratings, whereas The Mindy Project ratings are steady! The critical acclaim might help, so let's just wait and see ;)
