Once Upon A Time - Season 4 - Latest from THR - September 18, 2014

Love, whether it be of the romantic kind or family, is a big part of Once's DNA. In the film, Elsa did not have a love interest, unlike Anna. What's the likelihood Elsa will have one here?

Kitsis:
She will not. And even though we showed a clip at Comic-Con that showed that Anna was engaged to Kristoff, we can tell you that what we really responded to in Frozen was that it was about these two sisters. Our season one ended with true love’s kiss breaking between a mom and a son, and for us we’re really excited about the idea of the sisters and that story much more than Elsa finding a boyfriend.

How will Michael Socha's Will Scarlet/Knave of Hearts be incorporated into the Once world?

Kitsis
: We’re going to get a little taste of Michael in the first 11 [episodes] — glimpses of him. But Michael's character, as we remember, was a disgraced member of the Merry Men, and Robin Hood is very much alive living in Storybrooke. So we’re going to see them reunite. Obviously for people who watched [Once Upon a Time in] Wonderland, they are like, "Wait, he had his happy ending. He went off with the Red Queen." We are going to tell that story, what happened and what brought him back to Storybrooke. And that will probably be in the later half in the season, and it will be done in a way that if you’ve never seen Wonderland, we’re going to fill in the blanks. We’re also going to find out that he has an interesting connection to another character from the past, from season one of Storybrooke.

Horowitz: For those who never saw Wonderland, he gets his own introduction this season, and you’ll see how he’s folded into [the universe] …

Kitsis: But he’s at his core a thief and the sheriff, so they’ll meet in an interesting way.

  1. I'm guessing Emma messing with the past screwed up Ana and Will's future, and she'll be a big part of the second half of the season.

  2. Will Scarlet being a big part of the second half of the season makes me think Jafar might be the big bad. How it would work though I don't know, but it seems Wonderland tied.

  4. Sooo a nice interesting Interview! Many tidbits going around. The Will Scarlet spoiler sounds interesting, but even though Emma altered the past it doesn't seem like she could alter his path.
Emma and Hook are the thing I look most forward to and Regina of course.

  5. I was thinking we would somehow see a past version of Will but yeah I thought Emma messed up some of the past so we might see more of that this season.

  8. It's already been announced Kristin Bauer will have a major arc in the second half of the season now that she's done with True Blood, so no, everything points to Maleficent being the Big Bad in s4b. Hopefully Jafar can come back some other time though, I love him.

  10. Not Jafar, at least not in 4th season. "Big bad" o season 4b will be Maleficent.

  11. I like they are going to explain the Wonderland thing and fill in the blanks as they put it, I actually liked OUATIW more than OUAT...

  12. Part two is Maleficent and Ana and him steal from her. It will be interesting to see what is going to happen there.

  13. It really depends on how involved was Will Scarlet in Marion's capture: if he was supposed to help her scarpe or was involved in Marion leaving her family then Emma has just changed his whole life too.

  14. "We’re also going to find out that he has an interesting connection to
another character from the past, from season one of Storybrooke." That character could be Graham from season 1, may be Will was still a thief during the first curse in Storybrooke.

  15. See that is a different perspective. Didn't thought of that! I'm semi glad he is a part of S04, let's see how his story go from this on.

  17. Cannot wait for everything. I do hope we see bits and pieces come into play from the original Snow Queen story.
I want to see how Charming and Snow be parents with a newborn which is their 2nd chance and also to Emma too. I feel like something will happen or will their be consequences due to them sharing just one heart between them.
Emma-Hook <3 excited for that relationship, its finally at point to a relationship lol.
I feel for Belle, me thinks she will need a time-out for herself
Regina and Henry scenes are always nice. But sure hope Regina can be better herself, well strong enough to do that as well not just leaning on Henry all the time.

  18. Well since they're bringing in Mitchell to play the original snow queen, I think the arc will be more or less frozen fused with the original Hans Christian interpretation.
That honestly would be a very interesting story, and will keep frozen fans happy and it would be smart splitting the snow queens into two people. Mostly to avoid negative elsa backlash I'd suppose lol
