Episode 6 Review of "Bound"

This episode was heavily focused on Jack and Rose, we find out many things that we previously didn't know about. The episode opens with a scene between Rose and Shepherd. Shepherd is informing Rose that Frank is dead , she somehow already guessed that prior to him saying it. Shepherd lies and says "The Shepherds are looking for the person responsible" he doesn't want Rose to know because she would probably kill him. He soon after offers his services to Rose , he wants to help with the side project Frank was doing which is to locate a man. What is strange is that by the looks of things Amy and Shepherd had some sort of past together "Your past was with Amy not me"I wonder how they knew each other? Maybe they were colleagues or dare I say lovers?

We see Jack again , only this time he is at his house. He tries to ring Amy , at this point he is still in denial and thinks that Amy will come back to him eventually. When she answers , he lies and says he is at a hotel , she also lies and says she is on their coach. You could see just how angry Jack was , he is really getting sick of the lies that his supposed wife keeps telling him even though we know that it isn't her. Before she arrives, he gets his gun out of the draw, he also frantically searches through Amy's possessions.

He comes across a safe in which he somehow manages to open with a piece of cardboard or paper (not sure which). There was a number 9 book , which Marcus had and also different symbols such as an inked pen. I think the book get's given to all people from the group Quee Revirty to held them remember when they get triggered. Before long Jack hears a noise , I presumed it was Amy coming in , but it wasn't. To my shock it was Bobbi and Brud Zimmerman (the book shop owners from episode 1) I thought it was a bit odd them showing up together in the middle of the night. I wasn't wrong as a few minutes later they pull a gun on Jack. At this point I was completely gobsmacked I wasn't expecting them to be part of the group. Can Jack trust anybody? It makes me wonder who else we have seen is involved with the group. They are both working for Rose , probably just taking orders as when Rose finally arrived, they rushed out the door in no time. They seemed normal though , they haven't been acting strangely when we have seen them , perhaps they are both good at deceiving people. I certainly bought into them being just shop owners, now I know better.

Jack and Rose have an interesting conversation soon after. She explains how Amy is nearly completely gone "she is far down asleep". I hope Amy fights back and tries to regain control of her body like what Madison is doing , trying to fight Marcus. Jack gets told to let Amy go , but he can't he loves her and still thinks that it is Amy talking not someone else and that she is just loosing it a bit.
We find out what the symbols in the safe are, they are triggers which were used to bring her back. She has been brought back many times and has had many different life's. She can live forever. We know that one of her previous life's was in 1752 which means she has been around for a long time , I wonder what year her first life was in. Before Rose departs, she leaves behind a wedding ring, which can be used for Jack as his trigger should he die and want to come back. The item has to be a personal item , something meaning full to the person which someone in the comments kindly informed me about last week. Jack's personal item would obviously be her wedding ring as Amy means everything to him and he isn't ready to let her go just yet. Not without a fight that is.

We see Shepherd later on in the episode find a man called Vix. Rose want's to trigger him back, but Shepherd says "we are a part of a group that lives forever , if we do this , the thing that they forbid we are no longer apart of the group" Amy says "Only if we get caught". I am assuming they are not allowed to bring back friends/family/loved ones I am not sure why they would be forbidden perhaps it is to stop them from just triggering their family back and forgetting about the group. I wonder what makes them stop being "imortal of sorts" how they can stop living forever.
Maybe they have to be untriggered somehow or the person just has to die and not be triggered back ever again. We also find out that Jack and Amy were expecting a child only for her to miscarry. Jack later goes to look for where his child was buried , buried by Rose I should add. "If you find him one day , you should know I left him there with the highest regard , so you can all be together again". So Rose has some feelings she isn't just heartless. By the way we find out that Rose didn't want the baby and deliberately tried everything to stop Amy from giving birth. Maybe she somehow caused Amy to miscarry , which is a really cruel thing to do. I think Jack would make a good father and Amy a good mother , it is a shame that it will now longer happen as I am pretty sure one of them will end up being dead before the seasons up.

Summary
A superb episode , we get to see a lot from Amy and Jack which is great as their characters are really intriguing. We find out a few things about these symbols and the people being triggered. We also don't get to see Marcus , which is a good thing as I hate listening to "what goes around comes around"each episode.
