  1. I love Castle and Beckett, but Patrick Jane is way too funny, so I went with Jane and Lisbon.

    ReplyDelete
  2. If you picked Liz and Red, the crim would end up dead.

Being questioned by Castle or Beckett wouldn't be that pleasant if they thought you did it.

Patrick Jane would think you're part of a bigger conspiracy.

Elementary's Holmes and Watson would be my pick. You know they will get the job done without a lot of fuss

    ReplyDelete
  3. If the crime was violent or serial in nature...
I would want Tony Hill and DCI Carol Jordan from Wire in the Blood.

If it was more of a non-violent random crime...
Adrian Monk and Natalie (Monk) or Shawn Spencer and Gus (Psych) just for the sheer fun of it all!

Of course if I wanted to actually break some laws as I solved the crime then Red and Liz from The Blacklist! XD

    ReplyDelete
  4. Benedict and Martin for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Linden & Holder from "The Killing" of course...

    ReplyDelete
  6. picked Sherlock & John (Sherlock) obviously.
But, my 2nd choice was "other" - since you forgot Shawn Spencer & his partner Ghee Buttersnaps (Psych)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Love that show. Love that duo. But...
I sort of wouldn't want them. Look how many wrongs they took to get to the right answers.

    ReplyDelete
  8. be fascinating to see Monk, Natalie, Shawn & Gus work a case together.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Michael Westen/Sam Axe (Aka Chuck Finley) from Burn Notice, and Jack Bauer solo or with any of his any given partners. Let's go with Yvonne. God, I love Yvonne!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jack Cloth and Anne Oldman from A touch of Cloth.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'd have to pick Holmes and Watson, because they're awesome, almost nothing gets by them, and because I'd love to see Jonny Miller in person (if the case isn't my murder). Also, because I don't know any of the other duos.

I choose Sherlock and Watson BUT my dream team is Rust Cohle and Martin Hart from True Detective. Also, I'd like to hear True Detective's intro as the soundtrack of my case :) Dexter and Debra Morgan from Dexer sounds glorious too (but with Dexter I'd probably ended dead and sliced to pieces).

    ReplyDelete
  13. Holmes & Watson

    ReplyDelete
  14. I want Jane and Lisbon.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Death by puns and word play could be fun! XD

    Peter & Olivia ... :-)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ha ha. Great choice.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Holmes and Watson (from Sherlock of course) or Shawn and Gus.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Other: JOHN & DORIAN!!!! - Almost Human. I just loved thosr two and the show :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Mcnulty and Bunk Moreland.

  24. start_wearing_purple30 August 2014 at 14:12

Peter and Neal (White Collar) if something was stolen from me.
Holmes and Watson (any iteration) if I was killed because let's face it, Sherlock is the archetype of the genius detective.
Muldur and Scully (The X-Files) if I needed to prove a government cover up.
Hitchcock and Scully (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) if I committed the crime.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Jane and Lisbon just unique....

    ReplyDelete
  26. Rizzoli and Isles and Jane and Lisbon.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Jane & Lisbon for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'd want Liz and Red on my case, because they would shift their attention to semi-serialized stuff unrelated to my case half way through the episode.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Holmes & Watson - Elementary
    John & Dorian

and a shout out to Olivia & Peter. They are my go to for fighting Observers!....but not Sept. or Michael! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. everyoneissleeping30 August 2014 at 14:45

Red wouldn't care *and* Liz is incompetent. Good choice :-)

    ReplyDelete
  31. everyoneissleeping30 August 2014 at 14:48

    Well, that would depend on
    the crime, wouldn’t it?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sherlock and Joan Watson - Elementary
Patrick Jane and Lisbon - The Mentalist

    ReplyDelete
  33. I have to find time for third season.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Two others: Voight and Lindsay from Chicago PD and Ziva and Tony from NCIS.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sherlock is the only show listed that I watch, so he and Watson get my vote.
Other choices would be the complete team of Criminal Minds, Peter and Neal-White Collar, Mike and Fiona- Burn Notice, the NCIS team, Voight and team from Chicago PD.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That is a really good poll. I wish I had thought of it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. From the list, Holmes and Watson (Elementary) and Rizzoli & Isles, because they are not distracted by their own romances and could devote themselves to my case. I would have said Liz and Red, but I wouldn't want to have any problems on Red's radar. Off the list, I would have to go with Fiona, Sam, and Michael from Burn Notice. Also the Leverage and White Collar crews. Going old-school, I would say the Harts (Hart to Hart), Jessica Fletcher (Murder She Wrote), or Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ha! I was thinking many of these as well. With Holmes and Watson you also know that no matter how smart the criminal is, these two combined are much smarter. That makes me more confident that the worng person won't be put away and leave the real criminal still out there.

    ReplyDelete
  39. How could I have forgotten Monk? He'd be the most fascinating to shadow throughout solving the crime.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Burn Notice is my first pick too. They don't have their hands tied with the law and all of that. Plus they also work the case until they get a satisfactory solution. Fiona is a bonus.

    ReplyDelete
  41. What about Booth and Bones? Brennan and the "squids" could find the "perp" in less than an hour!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I would say yes, but the things that get them on a case are far too nasty for me. I'd rather hope to have a less gross reason someone would come on my case.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ha! It would have to be a nursing home crime for me, given that they are strictly 2048 and beyond.

    ReplyDelete
  44. "Hitchcock and Scully (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) if I committed the crime."

    Bwaaaahhhhh!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I was tempted to pick the Criminal Minds team as well but that would mean something brutal and completely sick happened to me or someone I loved.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sheeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

    Love The Wire!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Holmes and Watson in both versions!

    ReplyDelete
  48. All of these guys will get the job done. But I'd prefer Jisbon or Sherlock/Watson (both UK and USA versions). I'd pay good money too!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Who knows, maybe in season 2 someone would have invented time travel! Which reminds me Kiera Cameron is another person I'd pick!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Liz and Red don't do cases to help people, but if they could help me I would pick them. And also I would have Emily Thorne avenge me..

    ReplyDelete
  51. Fiona was great, feisty and downright explosive. Had to be pick a duo though, and I loved the bromance and banter between those two. Sam for me is one best supporting characters ever, besides the main protagonist. So funny, loyal and the source of balance within the group. I always cracked a cheeky smile during the starting credits and the line about the spies.

Sort of outside the law and always getting the job done, most of the times by pulling some crazy ****. Really miss the show even though it had a satisfactory conclusion.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Castle & Beckett, Other: Deeks & Kensi

    ReplyDelete
  53. Damn that was hard! Great poll LA Hope!

Went with Liz/Red and Sherlock/Holmes (Sherlock) but Jane/Maura, Castle/Beckett and Bones/Booth would all be in the running too.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Good point. Then I'd pick Fiona and Michael, although I loved Sam a whole lot more. For me it went Fiona, Sam, Jesse, later Maddie, and then Michael as favorites. Still Michael was definitely the best planner of the trio. I really miss Burn Notice too. There's no other show on like it anymore and I can't imagine a female character I loved as much as Fiona Glenanne. Parker from Leverage comes close, but sadly she's gone too.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Neal and Peter from White Collar. No doubt about it!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Where is the "love" for Liz and Red (The Blacklist).................seriously! Liz is a "blood hound" when it comes to clues/cases and Red already knows who all the worse "bad guys" are............case solved within 44 minutes of "wicked" action and intense dialog. As for "Other" "Rust" Cohle and "Marty" Hart (True Detective). These two solved a ten year old case that no one else knew about, because some really "bad people" covered it up. "Rust" will stay on a case until it is solved and Marty will catch his "man" no matter what...................yes, these duos would definitely solve the case. Nobody, 4 NOW!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Holmes & Watson x 2

    ReplyDelete
  58. It was a great cast. Coming from me it's kinda special for I always seem to dislike a character from a show I'm watching xD. Even Jesse grew on me for whom I wasn't too happy he was going to stick around in the beginning. I thought a couple of episodes would be enough for Michael to redeem himself for unintentionally screwing him over.

Loved leverage as well for the first couple of seasons! Parker and Elliot were my favorites. Though I lost interest gradually and I still haven't even watched the last 8-10 episodes. I found White Collar as an alternative too which I think it was/is very similar as a concept but kinda lighter. Though nowhere near as good as Burn Notice was, which is among the 5 shows I've enjoyed the most.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Where's Booth and Brennan?? B&B all the way for me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. Holmes and Watson from both shows (Sherlock and Elementary) though I think I'd like to see B.Cumberbatch and M.Freeman more.
    Other : Mulder and Scully!

    ReplyDelete
  61. So true. This show can either be campy dark or twisted dark, There doesn't seem to be a middle ground.

    ReplyDelete
  62. SHIELDNCISArrowfan30 August 2014 at 19:47

    Veronica Mars/Mac Coulson/May Oliver Queen/Roy Harper

    ReplyDelete
  63. Liz & Red since following the letter of the law isn't a top priority for those two. However, if "on your case" is a euphemism I'm definitely going with Rizzoli & Isles.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I want Castle and Beckett on my side for heart, and determination, and for the win the brain from Elementary Watson and Holmes

    ReplyDelete
  65. Jane and Lisbon by far, and then Holmes and Watson (from Sherlock).

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh yes I forgot it said duos, my first thought was Carlos but I'd have to go with Good Alec

    ReplyDelete
  67. Really I found that Bad Alex worked better with Cameron. He did not put up with her whining or acts either but efficiently got the job done.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I preferred the type of relationship they had in S1 when they both trusted and listened to each other, good Alec is closer to that.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I have to go with Holmes and Watson, both versions, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Jane ans Lisbon from the list.

John and Dorian off the list.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Rust and Marty (True Detective)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Definitely Sherlock Holmes (the original) and Dr. Watson, they're the best.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I find it very disconcerting that so many of these teams work homicides....I.E. I'd have to be dead before they got on my case. So, of the detectives (that I could hire to keep me from being killed)

I picked King and Maxwell. Really smart. Tough

    ReplyDelete
  74. Voted for Jane/Lis. Like Peter/Olivia too, I miss them a lot:(

    ReplyDelete
  75. Voted for Jane/Lisbon and Red/Liz but I do hope to never be on Red's blacklist! :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Jane and Lisbon. Only. 7eva <3

    ReplyDelete
  77. of course! Patrick and Teresa!!! the chemistry and complicity between them is great!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Olivia Dunham and Peter Bishop!!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Wow, this was really hard.

I picked Castle and Beckett because Beckett will never give up until she gets the true story.

Second vote to Sherlock and Watson on Elementary because he is so smart until he gets bored.

I also like King and Maxwell and Rizzoli and Isles but I trust the others more.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Holmes and Watson (Sherlock), Finch and Reese (Person of Interest)

    ReplyDelete
  81. cheyenne dickins31 August 2014 at 05:14

first of all great poll this was very hard to choose.
But I voted for Jane and Lisbon because i reckon it would be hilarious and him reading my mind would be cool.
and second choice would be Holmes and Watson from elementary for similar reasons.
third choice would have been castle and Beckett but they are definitely not as comedic!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I went with Castle. Would have also voted Bones though their bodies are usually quite gross!

    ReplyDelete
  83. The one who had been through darkness and light. The one with a decade worth of characters evolution. The one and only, irreplaceable Jane and Lisbon.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Booth and Brennan

    ReplyDelete
  85. I'm a little ashamed to admit it but Criminal Minds scares me sometimes. Nothing like watching people brutally kill others when you're home alone at night. There's times I have to turn it off.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I was worried that Jesse was going to mess with the dynamics or even worse create a freaking annoying love triangle. In the end I appreciated him most for his great sense of humor. He ended up being a great addition and an example of how established shows should introduce new characters. They kind of let him slowly charm his way into our hearts instead of trying to push an agenda and forcing us to feel one way or another about him.

Leverage is one of my all-time favorite shows, except for Nate. His character bugged me to no end, so I was giddy when I heard that TNT was considering going ahead with the show without Nate and Sophie. So sad they didn't follow through. I think it would have been even better. White Collar is another favorite of mine. Mozzie is one of the best characters in TV. I lvoe how they work so well together as a team. So sad it is ending.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Don't be ashamed. I walked away from this show because the brutal reality is, their crimes happen. The psychological aspects of the criminals scares me. One thing about this show though, it taught me to be more aware and observant. Sometimes I'm so suspicious, I laugh at myself. Also, it teaches you lessons about what NOT to do in a situation. I go months without watching and then I'll watch 3 or 4 in a row. I counter it with something lighthearted.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I bought the DVDs but mostly I watch it on Ion so I see about 4 in a row and then stop. I do like that it has been making people aware of their surroundings and common sense safety rules. Mostly though I can watch horror movies on the supernatural all day long, but when it comes to things like stalkers, rapists, and serial killers I have to exit after awhile. Thigns that can really happen make me far more nervous.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I must have been the only person in the universe to love King and Maxwell, but was limited to "living programming" choices.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Holmes & Watson, Jane & Maura, and Shawn & Gus!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Jane/Lisbon and Castle/Beckett :)

    ReplyDelete
  92. None of them ... cause I'd be like ... dead.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Where's Bones and Booth! I would want them--and now that I know the series, Lisbon and Jane.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Sherlock, naturally. I mean, he wouldn't care one bit about me, but he will get the job done, most likely way faster than any of the other teams.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Booth and Bones! (I also like Lisbon and Jane)

    ReplyDelete
  96. I would want sexy Nick Burkhardt on my case... why is Grimm never in the Polls?
