  1. I'm not trying to be a douche, but... does no one vet these polls? Is it a completely radom selection? We had literally the same poll a few weeks ago, similar to having a "Best bromance" poll twice, and "Who was the best Big Bad in Buffy?" three times. It would be nice if there was more variety. Just sayin'.

  2. Nolan+Emily and Alison + Felix.
Didn't we have that kind of poll before?

  3. Reese and Shaw on Person of Interest are a hell of a lot of fun so they get my vote along with Felix and Sarah on Orphan Black. Holmes and Watson from Elementary are a great odd match as well

  4. Alex/Meredith and Felix/Alison

  5. Ichabod and Abbie - such an awesome pair.
Alison and Felix - there awesome together, they should be in a play together, theatre buddies :)

  6. Shay and Severide from Chicago Fire :)

  7. I voted for Stefan/Lexi on TVD, but I also would have voted for Stefan and Caroline since Lexi isn't around anymore and I think Caroline is her replacement. The way Paul Wesley kept trying to push Steroline at Comic Con, it doesn't sound like it will be anything romantic or one-night-standish anytime soon, but I could be wrong.

I won't complain about the friendships in this poll because it could have been posted a long time ago, and no one really knows (at least not yet, since Lexi flashbacks are supposed to be coming) whether Stefan/Lexi was always platonic. I still think they might have had a lapse in judgment once and still decided to be just friends. Since they knew each other for centuries, I would be surprised if they didn't go there. If they did and their friendship survived it, that would make their friendship all the more epic.

I know I could have voted for more than one choice, but I don't watch some of the other shows anymore and I've never watched most of them.

  9. Almost all of the listed above, but especially Emily and Nolan, which only grew stronger with each passing episode.
Ichabod and Abbie have a really great friendship which is the core of Sleepy Hollow.
Sheldon and Penny also have a great frienship.
And it doesn't matter who you pair Felix with, Sarah or Alyson, he is great with both.

Honorable off list mention: Clarke and Bellamy in The 100; the way they come from enemies to respected friends is great!

  10. I voted Donna & Harvey suits but there is also....Sheldon & Penny (BBT), Morgan & Garcia (criminal minds), felicity & Oliver...at the moment it's not romantic (arrow), shay & severide (Chicago fire), Olivia and almaro or barba (SVU), jack Bauer & Kate (24) and I'm sure I have missed a few too.

  12. This makes me realize how much I really enjoy male/female relationships that don't have a sexual component to them. Some of these relationships are my favorites for their shows.

I vote Harvey and Donna. (But Orphan Black and TBBT are very close behind.)

  13. Sherlock/Watson, Saul/Carrie & Felix/Alison from the list, and for others Sherlock/Mrs Hudson (BBC Sherlock) & Tywin/Cersei Lannister

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ichabod & Abbie - They are fantastic together
    Finch & Shaw
    Reese & Shaw
    Sherlock & Watson
    Donna & Harvey

    Fusco & Stay Puff

and lets not forget Bear with each member of the team!

  15. I love Sheldon and Penny together, but not romantically, they have some really good episodes where they explore their friendship.

  16. Cocoa Puff, actually :)

  17. Come on!! No one thought of Derek and Penelope from Criminal Minds? Even though it's far from my favorite TV serie, they're definitely outclass the others :P!

  18. Only shows of these I watch (not counting stumbling across the last halves of episodes of Person Of Interest whilst channel-surfing after midnight as it is not enough to form an opinion on) are Sleepy Hollow and Orphan Black, so they get my votes.

  19. Derek & Callie on Grey's Anatomy!

  20. Esposito + Beckett, Sherlock + Watson, Neal + Elizabeth, Ichabod + Abbie.

I really liked Harrison + Olivia but he's gone now so I didn't vote for it.

  21. Sherlock and Watson , Sheldon and Penny and Ichabod and Abbie

  22. Felix and Alison, Felix and Sarah, Ichabod and Abby, and Reese and Shaw.

  24. On list: Emily and Nolan, Felix and Sarah, Ichabod and Abbie, Sherlock and Watson with honourable mention to Spence and Carmen.
    Not on list:
-Will & Diane and Will &Kalinda (The Good wife): I know it isn't exactly current anymore, but I really miss the friendship that he had with these two women.
    -Joss and Harry (Mistresses)
    - Zoey and Lavon (Heart of Dixie)
    -Audrey and Duke (Haven
-Harvey and Jessica (Suits): I love their unique dynamic. They tend to have some of the best exchanges and had they been on the list, they would have been my top choice along with Emily and Nolan. I actually don't get why the relationship between Donna and Harvey gets so much attention, when they each have far more interesting relationships with other characters on the series (e.g. Donna and Louis, for example!)

  26. Honestly, for a poll that gets posted every day, I think they do a decent job with the variety. I'm pretty sure that if they weren't eliminating duplicates, we would get a lot more repeats than we actually do, probably with a lot more skewing to certain CW shows. I think a similar girl/guy friendship poll was posted about 2.5 months ago, so it's not that bad (plus the selections were different).. They seem to always get a lot of responses, and for those readers, who don't look at these polls everyday, it probably does seem like a new poll.

It's clear that different polls appeal to different people, so I don't expect to like all of them. On a good week, I'll generally be interested in about 2 of the polls, which is fine. The polls that don't interest me at all (like the Teen Wolf and Buffy Polls) always seem to happen all the time, but when I looked back at the list of polls, it really wasn't that frequent at all! Plus, they seem to always get an enthusiastic response, so I don't see the big deal. If it doesn't interest me, I just shrug and move on!

  27. Ms.Ives and Josh Hartnett's character from Penny Dreadful

  28. I love the Sherlock/Watson and Ichabod/Abbie partnerships just the way they are. If they ever become romantic, they will lose me as a viewer. It's nice to know that there are a few shows out there not interested in making the leads fall for each other despite fan pressure. Neal and Elizabeth are pretty much family so that was never going to happen. It's one of the reasons why White Collar works so well. It's mostly about building a family out of the craziest connections and very rarely about romance, although Peter and Elizabeth are the best married couple on TV. Other vote to Nolan and Emily, who from what I've seen of Revenge, appear to be soul mates in a non-romantic way.

  29. No vote, as there's no "other" category. I would vote for Saga/Martin (Bron/Broen), Rae/Archie (My Mad Fat Diary), Kieren/Amy (In the flesh) and maybe Klaus/Cami (The Originals).

They could at least do us the favor and stop wasting our time by telling us when these darn post ends or closes. We can't keep voting forever. Give a closing date for goodness sakes.

  31. @Ruth Akuah Rockson These USD polls never close and you can only vote ONCE. So there is not point on keeping voting.

Shaw and Finch (POI), Felix and Alison (Orphan Black), Coulson and May (Agents of SHIELD).

  34. They came to my mind :D. And she's not on the show anymore, but I also loved Reid and Emily's friendship. They seemed to really "get" each other in a way that made their interactions all the more special and sweet (the fact that Matthew Gray Gubler and Paget Brewster are apparently close friends in real life as well makes it all the better).
As for the options listed in this particular poll, agreed on Ichabod and Abbie, and I like Sheldon and Penny's interactions on "Big Bang Theory", too.

Of ones on the poll I chose Nolan/Emily and Sherlock/Watson. Not on the poll Ichabod/Abby, Finch/Root and Coulson/May.

  39. You forgot Gibbs and Abby on NCIS.

  40. Maybe the person who submitted the poll does not watch that show?

  41. My favorite current male-female relationships, who hopefully will say non-romantic, are:

    Reese/Shaw - Person of Interest
    Will/Fiona - About A Boy
    Ichabod/Abbie - Sleepy Hollow
    Sherlock/Watson - Elementary
    Alex/Meredith - Grey's Anatomy

    ReplyDelete
  42. Neal/Elizabeth... mostly because even if it is platonic between him and everyone else on that show, everyone who gets near him subconsciously wants him, it's obvious ;) it's his curse for being so beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Since you are saying "non-romantic", I would say R Castle & K Beckett. Things have been pretty platonic the last couple seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Ichabbie, Sheldon/Penny, Schmidt/Jess, Stefan/Lexi..and for the life of me i don't understand how Steroline isn't on here, i mean they're not a couple yet, and their friendship has been one of the best relationships on TVD. i would also say Diggle and Felicity on Arrow.

  45. Darvey & Neal and Elizabeth.
