Canal+ has unveiled their line-up for the 2014/2015 season, and in it they announce that a new spy series will premiere between January and May 2015 : Le Bureau des Légendes.
Season 1 will have 10 episodes, a second season is already planned, and it sounds rather interesting.
Synopsis :
Within the DGSE (the French CIA, "Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure" (General Dictatorate of External Security)), a department called the Bureau of Legends (BDL) is monitoring the most valuable assets in the French intelligence agency: clandestine agents. Deep undercover in hostile countries, their mission consists in spotting people who could be recruited as informants. Operating in the shadow "under a legend", with a fabricated identity, they live for a very long time under a constant duplicity.
When the show begins, the main character comes back from a clandestine operation in Damas. It was a very successful mission, he gets promoted at the head of the BDL and starts his reinsertion into his previous life. But going against every security protocol, he doesn't seem to be able to let go of his legend and the identity he was living under in Syria...

Pre-production and casting are underway, and filming will be taking place mostly at the Cité du Cinéma, Luc Besson's 62,000 square meter studio (670,000 sq ft) in Saint Denis, near Paris.
