Thanks for tuning in to the third edition of my weekly article, Raina Reveals, which covers exclusive spoilers and teasers brought to you by SpoilerTV! We hope you enjoyed last week's scoop. This week I will be answering questions sent in via our Ask Raina form. If you are desperate for details on a particular show be sure to send your question in via the form at the end of the article.

Hofbauer: Do you have any news on the prospects of a Season 4 renewal for Continuum?
While nothing is official, last seasons ratings should be enough to secure a new season, providing the actors and writers still want to continue. Be sure to track our Continuum tag for the latest news.

XoXo: What's going to happen on Ray Donovan?
We have some interesting scoop for upcoming episodes! Ray and Abby get into a heavy argument over Mickey, someone in the family celebrates their birthday and Bridget ends up at the police station after the death of someone close.

Babar: Do you have any episode titles or additional spoilers for The 100?
We have more new character for you! Prepare to meet Niko a healer in his late 30's. (Updated 08/21)

Wolf: Do you know who was cast as Gia and Aiden on The Originals Season 2?
We hear Nishi Munshi (unconfirmed) has been cast in the role of Gia who is described as a "beautiful, soulful, edgy rocker girl who left home at an early age". Aiden, the newest "badass" werewolf, will be played by Colin Woodell.

Tom: Will we learn more about Enzo on the next season of The Vampire Diaries, how old he is and who turned him (..)?
While we don't have any scoop on Enzo's past, we can give you some juicy details on what's to come. When we catch up with our characters in the season 6 premiere we find Enzo has made a new human acquaintance, though her status as human may be short-lived.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to check back next week for more spoilers on various shows. Please note: All spoilers were compiled directly from the source by SpoilerTV. They are accurate at the time of posting, however, as with all information given ahead of time they are subject to change.

  1. Thanks Raina, this is an awesome new column you've set up.

Thank you for the The 100 and Ray Donovan info.

  2. Ray Donovan: I wonder who will die. It'll probably be Bridget's boyfriend. Ray and Abby need to get a divorce already. Normally I wouldn't say something like that, but those two characters just aren't a good fit, romantically or otherwise.

TVD: The new character Ivy is supposed to be a vampire. She'll probably be the (initially) human acquaintance Enzo meets. I remember the actor who plays her tweeting to him when he was filming a scene with Paul Wesley, as if that actress and Michael Malarkey are already well-acquainted and working closely together. Enzo's past was a good question, though. I keep wondering myself exactly how much of his past memories were clouded by how much time he spent in Augustine.

  3. Nishi Munshi was confirmed as playing Gia on Charles Michael Davis's twitter.

  5. Thanks for the scoop Raina. The Orignals are throwing a lot of characters towards us, really looking forward to the new season.

VD seems to do well as well and with all these mysterious characters coming I think the season will be a blast.

  11. Thanks for the scoop! Definitely looking forward to "meet" the new characters on TVD and TO! Hopefully some of them will make it to the end of the season since generally the ones who are announced just now tend to die very quickly :(! Anyways can't wait for these shows to come back on my screen!

  14. They're adding yet another new character on TVD? They already have 10 main characters (Stefan, Damon, Elena, Caroline, Bonnie, Enzo, Tyler, Jeremy, Matt and Alaric) and have a bunch of recurring characters lined up (Liv & Luke will be back, Liz Forbes, new characters - Tripp (Colin Feguson's character), Ivy, Sarah (ties in with Jeremy somehow), Liam (med student), Jo (Alaric's LI), Kai & Amy).

  15. Almost all of the recurring characters will bite the dust by the time mid-season finale comes our way anyway!!

  16. It seems like Luke and Liv will stick around for a while. Chris Brochu and Penelope Mitchell have their own chairs, which I'm pretty sure isn't something actors get when their characters will be leaving the show within a few episodes. That makes me wonder how Luke and Liv will play into the rest of the season, or even the remainder of the series. Maybe they have a larger role in the scheme of things than people realize.

Jo is only rumored by speculating bloggers to be Alaric's love interest. Both Jo and Liam seem like complications for Elena that won't last for very many episodes. It's true that Alaric has fallen for a doctor in the past, but a game of "Two Truths and a Lie" was played that points to a disturbing affair with Alaric being something Elena does that proves she isn't handling her grief as well as she lets on. Alaric being an Original vampire might make it hard for him not to be attracted to a doppelganger he isn't related to. There were also small indications in the Season 5 finale, little things that people might not have noticed, that Alaric thinks of Elena a little bit differently. At the very least, his protectiveness of her is exaggerated. That could translate differently now that he's a vampire, Elena is no longer sired, but feelings for Damon that she ignored as a human out of stronger love for Stefan turned into much stronger feelings for Damon that made her choose him over Stefan after she became a vampire. At first I thought it would be easier to believe that Alaric would establish contact with an extra-terrestrial presence, but the more I hear about the coming Big Bad, the more likely it seems that the thing about the E.T. presence might be the lie.

I agree that Ivy is the human who will become a vampire. I'm pretty sure she'll spend the most time with Stefan and Enzo, who is obviously Stefan's surprising source of comfort that we heard about in spoilers. Caroline is just supposed to have a hard time getting Stefan motivated to go back to Mystic Falls. I think Enzo will do everything he can to keep Stefan isolated with him because with Damon gone, Enzo has no friends, and Stefan would make a good friend for anyone.

It looks like Sarah was named after the crew member who died when they were filming last season, which makes me interested in the character's story. I also believe that Kai will outlast most of the new recurring characters. Tripp is probably the new small Big Bad who won't take up nearly as much screen time as people think. It's going to be all about the characters this season, so the Big Bad might evolve since the described group is supposed to be based on ignorance and hate. Tripp could be starting something that will get too big for him and he'll end up helping the other characters fight the mercenaries later on.

  17. I'm really curious to see stefan and enzo's interactions since previous season,we didn't have much anyway.I don't think they will go there with alaric and elena.Alaric is lovable character without almost no haters which is a rarity in TVD fandom,so they won't create that much of a controversial storyline with elena.I came across the pic of chris brochu tweeting that pic you mentioned,i also agree now.The wonder witchy twins may very well become heavily recurring characters just like rebekah in TVD in season 3 and 4 or series regulars in the final season. Some spoilers are indeed indicating tripp may not be the villain of the first half as everyone is expecting but matt could become a potential villain though i think they don't have that much guts to make matt more than a blue-eyed good samaritan human! What's ur take?

  18. they are saying sarah will recruite jeremy for a secret task in mystic falls,so let's see what they have in store for this character. We still don't know anything regarding kai!!

  19. I actually expect some of them to die within the 2/3 first episodes but I could be wrong of course. One thing is for sure though, one of them will get to be the new big bad of this season while the last remaining characters will be the likeable ones that will serve as canon-fodder so that the main cast is safe lol!

  20. Well, Raina herself repeated a spoiler about Sarah coming to Mystic Falls to find a lost relative, and Jeremy is supposed to get roped into it. I am VERY interested in this story.

I hope Elena and Alaric don't really go there, but Alaric IS supposed to struggle with being an Original vampire and that was one of the three things Matt Davis said when playing "Two Truths and a Lie," so either he'll have an affair with Elena or he'll meet an extra-terrestrial presence. For all we know, he could meet something from up above that turns out to be the new mythology for the season. If Alaric and Elena do go there, I doubt it would last longer than an episode or two before one of them breaks it off or someone makes them.

I've wondered from the start if Luke and Liv are more than they seem. Their sudden appearance felt like too much of a coincidence for me. How did their coven know so fast where the Travelers were? Liv's appearance at Whitmore College seemed too sudden. It's not like she could have compelled her way into a class with Bonnie.

I haven't heard anything about Matt being a potential villain, but I wouldn't be surprised. Personally, I agree with him about the spell over Mystic Falls not being such a bad thing. I hope Elena decides to stay out of it too, because it would be OOC for her to want to go against her ancestors' wishes for a town free of vampires while she's sort of following in her vampire hunter uncle's footsteps. Matt's life has been seriously messed up by vampires, and personally I think all the vampires should just leave those people alone and move on. I sort of hope some of the other main characters decide to fight Caroline on what she's trying to do. If at least the first arc of the season can be set outside of Mystic Falls, I think the show can go on without the characters living in that town. The show really only centers around the characters anyway, especially the main three, and their separation is going to be what ends the show. I'm not sure that the town matters as much as the fact that the characters are together. Some might get killed off when contracts expire, but everything else depends on the network, who decides to stay on the show for another season, and who is willing to come back for the series finale if they decide not to stay but their character's presence is part of the planned ending for the series.

  21. Great post! And thanks for the extra information I didn't have about the new characters :-)! I, personally, think the twins are here to stay and that their coven might become a more integral part of the story as it moves along.
With Bonnie being out of the witchy business, the show needs more of them so problems are magically solved in a heartbeat (sort of, lol).
Also I feel like this will create a new interesting dynamic in this universe. I mean Bonnie was all for helping her friends in the previous seasons obviously, but the twins had to kill one of the doppelganger last year because they were there to serve a greater purpose which is a nice rarity in a show like this where everyone is just fighting to survive and/or doing things for "selfish" reasons. The search for the cure in season 4 and the Quetsyah and Silas SLs were the perfect statement of that, for instance. So to me, they are not really the bad guys but they could be in a sense because they thwart our "heros" on a regular basis. And because of that they have the potential of becoming a greater threat and be sort of the new big bads next season. Just a thought. But maybe this theory is kind of far-fetched.
That being said, I also like the idea of the new villain being a new alien presence as you put it. It would a nice change!
On another note, I think I will very much enjoy the Stefan/Enzo/Caroline and Ivy (apparently) dynamic. Overall I really love the fact that we'll get to see new relationships being formed and old ones (Elena/Alaric) being 'rekindled'.

  22. I am thanking the writers that they have decided to put delena romance in backburner as of now,at least for couple of episodes.Episode 8 will most probably be delena reunion as joshua butler tweeted(director of episode 8).If they place more importance to developing individual characters and invest in the mythology rather than romance drama, they will be golden this year.I'm glad to see they have set up situations where we will get to see new character interactions-bamon,stenzo(stefan and enzo),alaric and enzo etc.Hope this season proves to be better than last season's messy storylines!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Mee too really and I 100 % agree with your post! Hopefully they will take your advice ;) and it looks like they even gave Elena another purpose in the show than being 'in love with a Salvatore' apparently, which is the only way they'll make me care about her again! Yay!!
And you're right, 'romance' just overshadowed everything else in the show last year, which wasn't a great move on the writers part. Anyways, I'm like you I can't wait to see all those characters interact.
Also, I'm changing the subject but I think that with all those doctors at Whitmore the Augustine SL will probably be back in some capacity. And even though I wasn't a big fan of that one last year, it feels like the humans will try to reorganize some sort of community to protect themselves and 'bite' back in a way. I gotta admit I miss those moments in the show when they used to be a threat so I can't wait to see how all of it will unfold :) !

  24. I also think so augustine storyline has not yet seen it's last and we still have enzo's past to get revealed in all those 70 years along with the info who turned him.And since enzo and damon cleaned all the augustine society members supposedly and there are some lurking in the shadows to take vengeance of some sort, they will take it out on enzo first since damon is AWOL for quite some time.He will stick close to stefan for support and caroline won't like this fact at all i'm guessing. This season looks very fresh and promising and re-booted.Hoping for the best!

  26. I'm pretty sure that "Myra" and "Chase" were fake names that were put in the sides and that they're not actually new characters but are, in fact, Octavia and Lincoln. "Myra" is injured and can't really walk and "Chase" has to meet with his people b/c he defied them or something. Niko, however, is definitely a new character. Anyways, I'm excited for the new season even though they've managed to keep a VERY tight lid on almost anything spoiler-y.

  27. I just heard this myself and was dropping by to update - Niko has been confirmed, along with Indra and Byrne. This season is sounding better and better!
