    Peter Scanavino. He plays detective Dominick “Sonny” Carisi, Jr. Will be fun to see what he stir up in the squad room in Amaro's absence. Scanavino is a guest star but that's how Ice T started out as well, even with Amaro back (and yes he will be back) they are short handed so if they don't bring in a captain - which I'm hoping for though - they could use another detective to pair up with Amaro.

    Actually Ice-T wasn't actually a guest star, he came in at the end of the first episode of season 2 when the other female detective I can't recall her name got transferred out.. He was already introduced as the new detective.
    They aren't bringing in a new captain, Remember in the finale, Lt. Murphy was called back undercover so he had Olivia take his place, so no one can replace him

    1) Ice was brought in only for a few episodes, read his interviews, listen to his podcast and you'd know. He got so popular he was asked to stay.
    2) you can't decide what's going to happen further on in the season, I reserve my right to hope that they will bring in a captain to run the squad
