Matt Long has joined the cast of Syfy drama Helix from from Battlestar Galactica developer/executive producer Ronald D. Moore. Written by Cameron Porsandeh, directed by David Slade and produced by Sony TV, Helix is a dark thriller about a team of scientists, led by Dr. Alan Farragut (Billy Campbell), investigating a possible disease outbreak. Long, repped by UTA and Authentic Talent and Literary Management, will play Dr. Kyle Sommer, a world-class toxicologist and the newest member of the CDC team. Long’s TV credits include Private Practice, Mad Men and Jack And Bobby.
