Glue - Season 1 - Trailer

4 Aug 2014

A new drama called Glue is starting this fall, its first trailer caught my attention and I felt like sharing it here.

Created by Jack Thorne (Skins, This is England, The Fades) and filmed in Berkshire, Glue (8 episodes) starts this September on E4.

Yasmin Paige, Jordan Stephens, Callum Turner, Charlotte Spencer, Faye Marsay, Jessie Cave, Tommy McDonnell, Billy Howle, Tommy Lawrence Knight, Kerry Fox, Jonny Owen, Kierston Wareing, and Steve Oram are co-starring in the series.

This teaser is quite mysterious, so to get a better idea of what the show is, here's a synopsis, although it doesn't delve into details either :

Overton. A tiny village in the English countryside. Farming is its beating heart. Race-horses are its bread-and-butter. But beyond the rolling hills and behind the stable doors lies a green and not-so-pleasant land...

Bored kids play chicken on top of silo machines that can cut your hand to slices no thicker than the ham in your sandwich. The same kids play at grain-barn-jumping – deadly, if your lungs fill up with the tiny bullets of wheat. Now someone has played murder.

When the body of a local teenage boy is found underneath the wheels of a tractor, the villagers in this remote community – his friends – are forced to open up their world and watch their secrets spill out. Secrets that will change their particular brand of country life forever.

Twisted and wayward, tragic and comic, Glue takes us on a wild and thrilling ride as the mystery of the murder unravels.

  2. Because of glue made from horses?

  3. Sadly a lot of times when race horses are put to pasture it more often than not means they are sold off and wound up in glue factories...or i should say turned into glue.
