The Carrie Diaries star has landed a recurring role on the upcoming season of The Vampire Diaries.
Wood, whose credits also include Girls and Major Crimes, will play Kai, a charmingly unstable newcomer with the unsettling ability to seem normal as the situation demands. He can be both playful and obsessive with a mix of adolescent angst. Sounds like he'll fit right in!

He was great in TCD. He's extremely good-looking. I'm exited for him.

ReplyDeleteWhy do I get the feeling that Season 6 will see a new wave of travelers? Obviously not all travelers on earth were part of Markos' tribe. Silas and Tessa certainly weren't.

I'm hoping Whitmore College actually turns out to be like Dalcrest ( in the novels ), a college for all of the supernatual beings in the world and Kai is a Kitsune.

ReplyDeleteI think these characters may be part of the group that Colin Ferguson's character is leading. Maybe some sort of anti-vampire group (getting back to the days when The Founders Council in MF actually existed and the vampire were worried about being exposed to them).
Well, The CW likes to 'keep it in the family'. Robbie Amell from the cancelled TTP was also just cast in The Flash, Rick Cosnett from TVD was also cast on Flash and all three leads from the second Selection pilot got roles on other CW shows (like Michael Malarkey / Enzo). So it wouldn't surprise me if other TCD actors started appearing on other CW shows.

ReplyDeleteIf there are more travellers I'm going to kill myself. Travellers were the most ridiculous villains of tvd and I think all of them die in the last chapter. I don't know what writers were thinking about.

ReplyDeleteThe lead actress, Yael Grobglas, has also been cast as a regular on the new CW show Jane the Virgin. Lucien Laviscount was cast as one of the leads in Bloodlines, the Supernatural spin-off that wasn't picked up.
