  1. I hope they get the rights for Clarice Starling. It sucks that MGM has them and isn't willing to let them go.

  2. I'll be glad to see Abigail again in any capacity. Kacey Rohl is fantastic.

  3. Me too, but I could live with a proxy as long as they can get her name to relate to a starling or blackbird or something! XD The most disappointing thing would be not to have her at all!!

  4. Glad to see a lot of characters return (Especially Abigail and Chilton), but does Pazzi mean that we will be panning over to Italy instead of France or is it just that Pazzi will go to France??? Can't wait to see who they cast as both Murasaki, Cordell, Tooth Fairy, and our "Pazzi", but still wondering if he'll "revive" and recreate Robert Lector??

  5. It depends on what fails25 July 2014 at 01:49

Abigail will probably appear on flashbacks, but I wonder about Chilton.

Miriam Lass could be Clarice's replacement, but Anna Chlumsky is a regular on Veep.

Good to know we'll reach Red Dragon this season.

  6. If ever they don't get the rights, Knowing Fuller, the Proxy Starling name will probably be a very cleaver quip

  7. Hurray for the Hannibal/De Maurier heavy premiere. Gillian Anderson needs to be promoted to regular ASAP unless they killer her hahaha which I hope they don't.

  8. He's said many times recently that if he has to create a parable character, he will. There's a lot of character that reflect certain aspects of Clarice at different times in the series, but in Miriam's case, it wouldn't work, because she has already been "altered" by Hannibal, where Clarice changes, but it's not completely because of Hannibal's doing or in Hannibal's control, as he acknowledges at the end of the Hannibal novel.

  9. And we still don't know who's dead and who's alive. But I'm glad with the direction that the show is going.

  10. Ya I just wonder if he'll go for another first name that means "famous" or if he'll anagram it up, or if he'll go for the bird reference (which I kind of hope because of the Teutonic Knight symbology...)

  11. "The premier will be Mads and Gillian heavy" = music to my ears.
And the Clarice situation is tricky, but I'm quite sure it all depends on how much money NBC is willing to throw at MGM.

  12. Just came back from EW interview:
    - Will be set in Italy
    -Will not be "procedural" format
-Chilton back and playing important role (seems like he's alive)
-Season will pick up one year later!
-Season split in half with pt one Italy act, Part 2 Red Dragon act

  13. I like the first 4, especially Clara Blackbird, after Starla Clarence things kinda get murky hahaha good try though!

  14. A lot of the other surnames are black-bird names ;)

  15. I'm pretty sure that Jack Crawford made it! :)

  16. Glad for Gina Tores too, I'm thinking that there will be a connection between "Bella" and Jack with Ranaldo and Allegra....I know in the books (and I think in the Hannibal film too) that Pazzi's picture hangs in one the major FBI offices.

  17. Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the<- best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $5468 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $70 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail

  18. I am curious to see if Mason Verger will factor into the season at all. I also wonder who they will cast as Francis Dolarhyde as he has always been portrayed as kind of a big muscular guy.

  19. Clara Amsel
    Robin Lambert

    The possibilities are endless!

  20. So happy Chilton will be back he became one of my favourite characters this seasons so I was sad when it was 'killed' kept hoping he will turn back up in time for the finale.

  21. Happy Chilton is back, not sure how I feel about jumping a year, hopefully Abigail is either a dream/mind palace or someone explaining what happened when she was being held by Hannibal, because she needs to be dead (as much as I like her). Is the second half of S3 covering 'Red Dragon'? Not sure how I feel about them rushing to it, instead of it being in S4. Still, I'm excited for the new season, can't wait to find out more.

  22. Michael Pitt was so good as Mason that I hope they bring him back. Also his sister.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think so. We've really only seen part of the Verger story line from the Hannibal novel...I'm assuming because we're hitting Italy now, instead of Paris, that part of that plot will figure in, since Mason men are also on the hunt for him in the novel/film. But I also hope they string it along or add another [new] dimension to his relationship with Hannibal, because I hope they actually save the iconic pig scene for where and whom it really "should" be...

  24. I hope Abigail is alive, because I can see Will using her as a 'ghost' to haunt Hannibal, which could be nice considering that Fuller's version of the origin story should be revealed through Hannibal Rising characters being brought up to date....

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't feel that way, I think Abigail needs to be dead and she shouldn't have been resurrected in the first place. Her story was done, she and Will never had the father/daughter relationship he built up in his mind (Hannibal-Abigail did) and if she's alive then she'll go to jail (the FBI knows she helped her father, plus she shoved Alana out of a window), so what's the point? Will needs to have no strings, no connections when he moves to Florida before 'Red Dragon'. Killing Abigail symbolized Hannibal killing the Will-Hannibal connection, which started when Hannibal saved Abigail's life.

  26. I disagree because the novels are ultimately about Hannibal finding a way to bring his sister, Mischa, back to life.

Abigail is a representation of Mishca and, in this version, are the beginnings of Hannibal's conscience workings towards that goal, but it's ultimately his relationship with Clarice where that gets resolved, or really, transformed, because Will isn't the love of Hannibal's life, but Clarice is.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah, no thanks, we're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one. We have no idea what went on with Abigail in S2 or how close Hannibal got to making her Mischa, but she needs to stay dead so that Hannibal doesn't succeed in making a new Mischa, which is why he'll try again with Clarice. If Abigail is alive, she's a loose thread and heading to jail, she's 18-19, I doubt she'd be very successful at 'stalking' Hannibal in Europe when she's on the run herself. I don't mind her in Hannibal's mind palace or a flashback to her missing time, but I don't want her alive. Her story is over, it's tragic and circular, but it's done. Abigail's death needs to always be something between Will and Hannibal.

  28. Yes! Sounds awsome, though the show has never been full on ''procedural'' has it? At least not to me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think in the sense that we always have a case and that we go through the process of solving them in the same location, but what I think they mean is that there will be more flashbacks, extrapolations (including Hannibal's memory palace), and that we won't have all of the characters in the same place at the same time during at least the first part of the season...

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm not saying he "made" Abigail Mischa in any "physical" sense, but that rather she represents Mischa thematically in the work (Bryan Fuller has stated so on multiple occasions), was one way that Hannibal tried to gain the things he lost, it's just unclear "how" aware he is to that notion, but it's the threw line/bridge to where he ends up with Calrice, as she initially represents Misha too....
