Glee - Season 6 - Rumor - Production Pushed Back to September?

Matthew Smith, an assistant editor for Glee recently tweeted the following:




Lea Michele had previously said that Glee was to start filming in July.

  1. maybe because it's 13 instad of 22 that they are pushing back, i dont know it's a good thing or a bad thing

    I'd think it's a bad thing personally.

    Glee is normally rushing against it's production schedule with 22 episodes. Starting in July would have at least given them time to finish most if not all of the 13 by Christmas without needing to rush too much. Then they could have used Jan/Feb to promote the final season after filming. Now they're going to have to face both the Thanksgiving break and Christmas break.

    Chris Colfers film 'Noel' is also supposed to start filming soon with an early 2015 release. Variety mentioned that filming starts late summer in the UK (so August probably), meaning Chris Colfer is pretty much out of the final season. He'll be in the UK filming from August to October or so. Then he'll have promotion for Noel in early 2015 which will divide his time.

    The old schedule would have allowed him to film for Glee in July, November and December.
