    the producers/writers of this show are beyond stupid. They kill of the main character and THEN they post a new promotional photo with that characters. It's getting old, TVD. I hope this show gets cancelled or something, because these past two years have been miserable.

    So they should cancel a show coz you don't like the direction the show is going!! Wow!! in case you forgot-ian is contracted through the 6th season so even if his life was in jeopardy,they had to bring him back somehow.And TVD is still the network's 2nd highest rated show,you disliking it matters jack.It will end when the actors want out or the producers want it to end,not before.

    I'm guessing the Travelers' spell is still active, and the characters have to find a way to get their home back without any vampires getting killed. My concern is what Jeremy said about the witch magic disappearing that made him not hate Damon. Does that mean that he'll have to fight the urge to kill Elena again? That could be part of the characters dealing with the good and evil within themselves. I don't know if anyone else caught this, but Matt even mentioned that it might not be such a bad thing to live in a Mystic Falls without vampires. The characters finding their way back to each other could mean more than one thing. It could mean that old and new problems will result from what the Travelers did, and the characters will have to overcome emotional obstacles in order to restore their group dynamic and be able to co-exist and be friends and family again. Tyler mentioned that he felt different right before revealing that he's no longer a hybrid. Whether he's a werewolf or a traveler or both, he's going to struggle for a while. It's still unclear what the writers are going to do with Damon, but I'm sure Bonnie is at peace. Grams saw to that. Damon being in the poster could just be a way to keep Damon fans watching. I won't assume that Damon is coming back until I see confirmation that Ian Somerhalder has resumed the role later this year. Even then, Damon might just be shown in one episode at peace with Bonnie. I wouldn't really mind if Damon is brought back, but I'm not sure if I can keep watching if the Delena stuff continues. It's too much.


    I agree with those who are tired of the haters. People who hate the show enough to complain under every post probably shouldn't be watching the show.

    I've noticed that Elena has been acting more like Katherine lately. I doubt that she's turning into Katherine or anything that extreme, but it was said that Elena is traumatized by what Katherine did to her. Seeing Katherine's memories, getting sealed up in a corpse, and losing three weeks of her life probably changed Elena, just like getting locked in a safe for three months by Silas changed Stefan. Elena has definitely been behaving differently, and I'm sure the latest tragedy will make her go a little bit darker.

    I think it's very possible that the picture could represent Damon, Katherine and Silas, since all three characters should technically be on the other side. Also, I'm wondering if all the other Stefan/Elena dopplegangers will be there too, in addition to Kol, Vicki, Jenna, etc. etc. I could see a lot of potential in that regard. If they presented the other side as some kind of alternate universe, that might be interesting. As long as it doesn't consist of a bunch of ethereal-looking dead people floating around in some kind of celestial-looking environment full of blindingly bright white lights....I think I'll be OK. I wonder what kind of deal Grams made for Bonnie.

    It was defintely better than S4. The whole search for the cure was so boring! I really liked some things they did this year though and I really didn't miss the Original family on TVD.

    Yeah they should have made a poster with only Elena and Stefan, or with Caroline/Jeremy/Alaric as the third person. That would have kept some of the mystery (even though everybody knows Damon and possibly Bonnie are coming back).

    I guess next season is gonna show some another dimension, Bonnies gramms mentioned some deal she made so I think they are gonna explore it more. I hope they are gonna stay in the other side. I dont know why would anybody wanna be back on earth if you are already in better place. Bonnie was taken by light not by darkness. Earth lives are gonna end someday so they all gonna end up there, or in hell... I just hope the next season is not about something like fight of good versus evil, I mean heaven and hell. It would be too big of a story.

    I would love to see the other dimension/heaven be left unexplored. The last scene with the light would be perfect scene for the series finale.

    Ugh that was seriously the most bitter sweet episode I've ever seen on tvd. I love Alaric and am happy he is back but Damon was my favorite since the beginning, he better not be dead for good because I don't think I could watch it anymore if he was:(

    since delena happened the show was down.the season 5 was the worst because julie plec forced delena too much: we are bad for each other, we are toxic, i can;t be with you,etc. tvd is not just about delena, it's about all of them and since delena happened, the show was down. when stelena happened the show was awesome, every character has a story and all were important to the show. if elena want to be with damon, just be with him not make-up and breack up in every episode.

    Problems of this season? Silas. Travellers. Katherine. And I don't know about you, but in my opinion this stuff is stelena related. Again, however, I don't think this fact influenced ratings. Storylines (too many and not so good in this season) did.

    The entire plot of the show is related to ships. What's most frustrating is Delena was so hot in Season 1 and 2. They made them both weak and whiny aka not themselves at all in 4 and 5.

It was so obvious. Damon and Katherine were the most popular characters but Kats a girl so obviously messing with Damon would sic the Damon fangirls on her.

I don't like travellers, I hate the Kath/Nadia stuff and I think Silas/Amara was awful. The relationship between Damon and Elena? Still love it.     Actually ratings are related to ships. Lots of people myself included were for Delena in the beginning but the plot was so much better because there was real danger and character development in 1,2, and 3. After that they just saw Delena "moments" got the most tweets. Tweets are the CWs ratings since they are so painfully low in general. Plec and Co constantly check trending topics and urge people to trend certain things so they'll "count".


    Whether you love Delena or Stelena should not impact the show but now instead of "Let's put Delena or Stelena on a journey" It's "Oh god quick Delena needs to kiss or break up so we can get a trend!" "Ahh Someone do something to Damon so we can get a trend!" It's so painfully obvious and depressing the plot is on the backburner since $$$ rules.

    Pretty much everything on the network hits a decline in live viewers in Spring. Literally every show on this network has failed to maintain it's audience this far into it's own, and TVD has definitely suffered as far as writing. If you're thinking a swing back to Stefan will pop the rating, you're kidding yourself. Keep in mind that during the entirety of the "Stefan era" of this show, Damon was more popular character and the more popular love interest by a mile.

    I think the show began to suffer when they split The Originals and TV into two separate shows. When this happened, TVD became filled with 20 different storylines, and 19 of them were boring and not necessary. Also, there were a lot of "Filler" type episodes. In stead of 23 episodes where 11 of them are boring, why not just have a 12 episode season and make it action packed and worthwhile? I loved the first 4 seasons. This season was so sloppy and lazy. It was all over the place, unfocused, and definitely caused fans to become detached and uninterested.
