ReplyDeleteI think Suburgatory will go to TBS, Community will have one last season and a movie (4 episodes in one) on Netflix or Hulu, and I don't think Revolution will sadly.

ReplyDeleteYep, I agree with that. Community is a huge hit for Hulu, so I think chances are that it will live on there, and Suburgatory could be paired with Cougar Town in TBS.

We won't know until it's official.(Reported by other sites like Deadline) but Deadline has been good with their info so I'll say 13 like they said with cast appearing somewhere in between 9-13 of the whole season.

ReplyDeleteWell that's dumb, I'd have renewed the show for 9 episodes with all the actors instead of just swapping them around episodes! It could be a mess if the writers don't handle that well
ReplyDeleteI think they have settled for at least 11. I don't think it would be too noticeable, if planned correctly you wouldn't notice. I certainly think that happened this year. I'm just happy to have it back at all.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I mean I don't know what they expect from that show, do they think it can be the next Friends elsewhere? I don't see it working out, it's not like the show has a solid fanbase or anything. Shopping a show like Almost Human or as such makes way more sense since it proved to be stable through its entire run and it had a core audience, but with FWBL one simply doesn't know where it would stop falling. Besides, its audience seemed waaay more casual than the so needed hardcore fanbase needed in order to make a transition to another network

ReplyDeleteThat's true, it's all about how it's handled, but I don't understand the need for extra episodes if you need to move the cast around, it just seems illogical. But it's certainly great that the show is coming back next fall

ReplyDeleteI really hope Community finds new life somewhere. I just can't deal with that underwhelming season finale being the series finale.
ReplyDeleteNo I respectfully don't agree. If you think about it, there have been episodes that only part of the cast appears or the majority of the show deals with one or two storylines and the others are just in for a few minutes. It might work out well with the writers being able to concentrate more on certain storylines and giving them more depth.

13 most likely but the cast won't appear in every episode. Which isn't a bad thing because the Parenthood cast is so big and they had a few episodes last season where some cast members weren't in every episode.

I agree. It's fine with me that there will be episodes without every cast member. Most of the storylines on Parenthood tend to not overlap anyway. The show will work fine without every cast member in all 13 episodes.

ReplyDeleteNBC confirmed that Parenthood was renewed for a sixth and final season for all that are wondering. :) It's episode count is officially 13 episodes and will air its final season in the fall!!! I'm very very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
