Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on Bones, Good Wife, Once, White Collar, Supernatural, Big Bang and More

  1. I suppose this probably depends on Emily (again), but I want Brennan to be pregnant when Bones starts up again. It'd create a lot more angst.

And ooh, I'm interested in what Matt came up with for White Collar's final season.

  2. I'm getting a "Page Not Found" message when I click that link.

  3. I'm so excited about Will Scarlet! I really hope they bring Anastasia back too, tho...

  4. Same. I need Will and Ana together!

  5. I do too. They got such a good ending on OUATIW that I don't want to see them split up already.

  7. With TVD & TO I don't want spoilers about relationships be it who Hayley's going to hook up with or Stefan/Caroline. I would like to know what storyline Caroline will be getting outside of romance and the actual plot of TO. None of the ships on TO really work - the show is so much better without them and focused on the individual characters/plot. Marcel/Cami can be in the background or whatever and they can hook-up some of the characters (ie like they did Klaus/Genevieve) but I don't like that it looks like it's headed in the same direction of TVD where it will revolve around ships.

  8. It's comforting to see that Nina also thinks Elena has no right to give Caroline and Stefan a hard time about their feelings. That gives me hope that she won't react badly and make me hate her for being a hypocrite. She did a lot of things this season I wasn't happy about in regards to Stefan, her playing the best friend card would piss me off.

  9. It's nice that Dobrev holds that opinion but she still has to perform what's on the page and she has little control over that.

  10. That writers have made MANY questionable decisions in regards to her character, but I think even they understand not to push their luck in regards to Steroline. Elena has zero ground to stand on. If she reacts badly to Steroline, A LOT more people are going to get tired of her shit. It's one thing to make some of the fandom hate a character, there's no avoiding that, but it's quite another to make a large chunk of the fandom hate a character. Especially a lead character.

  11. Viewers have been complaining about Elena in regards to various things for years now and it hasn't seemed to change how she is written at all. I'm just not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point. For what it's worth, I hope you're right.

Nice to see The 100 on one of these spoiler articles. First time? Shame it's about relationships though :(

  13. TVD: I am so tired of hearing about Stefan and Caroline that I wish their relationship was over already, and it hasn't even started! I agree with Paul Wesley that instead of a relationship, they should just have sex once. That would probably make shippers angry, but FWB is as much as I can tolerate where Stefan and Caroline are concerned. Why can't there be a male-female friendship without people turning it into a potential couple? Stefan is the type of character who can be friends with a girl without it getting romantic. Caroline is the new Lexi, and one night of sex is as close as that should get to being a coupling. As far as Elena's reaction, I guess we'll have to wait and see, although it would be hilarious (even if it is terribly wrong to think about) if Klaus came around again and Elena got drunk and slept with him after hearing about Stefan and Caroline. Of course I'm sure that would never happen. Elena isn't possessive about Stefan. I remember she got offended when he slept with Rebekah, who murdered Elena, which was so wrong that even Damon punched his own brother. Everyone was in shock when Stefan slept with Katherine, who was basically a monster. Caroline is different. She's Elena's best friend and Elena is the type to want the people she cares about to be happy, even if she has to swallow whatever residual feelings she might have for Stefan. She swallowed her feelings and walked away from Damon easily enough when he told her he didn't want to see her or talk to her.

TO: We've already seen indication that Hayley will feel closer to Klaus than Elijah while she figures out who she is as a hybrid. I know that some people are already fearing that this will be like Elena in Season 4 of TVD, but while it looks like there may be some similarities and the shows run parallel in mythology, I don't think Hayley will react to vampirism the way that Elena did. From what I understand, Hayley will be an outcast to her werewolf clan and she will go dark while she struggles to understand who she is without her family and where she came from. I'm not sure why she needs to know where she came from, but that was in a quote from Phoebe Tonkin in a different article. Another difference is that Hayley is sired to a baby. There's no way to predict how that would turn out. Does it mean that she'll feel attached to the baby's father, or will she feel lost because the baby is gone? Regardless, I'm glad the word "friendship" was used to describe future association between Klaus and Hayley. It's been long established that they won't be a couple, or at least they won't be one anytime soon, but an emotional connection of some sort is often formed when two people have a child together. If I do see too many similarities between Hayley and Elena, I'm going to want to see that addressed. TO writers have danced around certain issues enough without even mentioning Elena.

  14. I think the reporters are making everything about ships right now to keep people interested while most shows are on hiatus. Caroline's storyline, from what we know so far, is that she's going to pull all of the vampires together and keep them focused on finding a way to return to Mystic Falls, which is still a no-witch-magic zone. I don't know how they'll get around that one. I hope it doesn't take more than a few episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Talking about the ships make me dis-interested though. If they were focusing more on an actual plot/characters then I'd be more interested.

I actually hope they don't go back to Mystic Falls at all. They couldn't just stay there forever (aside from Matt & Jeremy). It was past time for Stefan to get out of that town and TBH I think it would be good for the characters to live a life outside of Mystic Falls and discover new things.

  16. The Originals. I'm very excited to see Hayley become a hybrid. Once she turned she seemed a lot more tougher, i'm interested to see if there are any differences between her and Klaus, b/c she's a different sex than he. It's interesting to have the first female hybrid. It's funny i never bothered to think about that being a possibility til the season finale. Lol

TVD---BRING ON STEROLINE!! But man am i glad i know that Paul likes to joke. B/c i wouldn't want them hooking up ANY TIME SOON! Hell no, this is what i want in this order....a self realization, then a confession, then some awkward staring moment with the LEAN IN then FINALLY a f*cking kiss with maybe a cliche.."I've wanted to do that for awhile." mixed in there afterwards. Then a first date. (preferably dancing b/c Stefan can dance with Caroline forever) I love it when they dance....then after that, who knows. But as long as i get those 4 things, i'm good. I think we're there now. Hell, we ARE there now. I'm just hoping one of those scenarios happens before or BY the 10th episode. (before the first hiatus).

TBBT--- God i hope that doesn't happen, i was really looking forward to Sheldon going on the train. I WANT him to go on the train. And i don't want him ending up in Texas with his mother (i know that's a long shot, but it could also be his first stop since he's never traveled anywhere else by himself). I had this image where he was gone for months 3-4 months, give or take, and he comes back home and he's this brand new man, b/c he witnessed a whole bunch of shit out in the real world, and hell he'll actually wanna sleep with Amy. But noooo none of that could ever be a possibility if he doesn't get on the freaking train!!

SPN---IDGAF about the brothers right now. I think it's pretty freaking obvious that Sam and Dean will get their relationship back once Dean returns from being a demon (and possibly killing Crowley. Especially, given the fact that this is, i'm 90% sure is the very last season (fingers crossed that it is). I think that question was irrelevant. JMHO. Then again they did say it was before the Finale. But the rules still apply.

Bones--- i gotta catch up before i read anything about anything. LOL kinda lost the passion to keep up the rest of the season. But i have all the episodes recorded, so i'll finish the season eventually.

Regarding Supernatural, I'll take that as a "NO".

  18. Mindy and Kim weren't main characters. They were expendable. Also Klaus didn't turn Hayley, so for me she IS the first female hybrid, that matters anyway.

  19. I'm pretty sure vampires can stick around in one town for more than five years, but I see your point. Maybe it'll work out that the spell can't be broken, or it would be too difficult for the vampires to just come back into a small town like that without the humans getting suspicious after everything that's happened over time. The writers were supposed to explore years ago why Mystic Falls attracts supernatural drama, but that all got lost in the Original family drama. I'd rather see the characters living their lives than anything in particular going bump in the night. For good one-hour dramas, all you really need is the right setting, the ability to change the set every couple of years, and good characters who can steer the direction of the show. I think it's a nice start that Matt will apparently move on to become a cop, but if that's all the excitement you can get out of Mystic Falls, you're right, it's time for the show to move on to a different place. The vampires, at least, could all be spending the next few years at Whitmore. Stefan and Alaric back in college- now that I'd like to see. Of course Stefan has stated several times that he has no interest in returning to college, but he is homeless now. Then again, Paul Wesley did say that Season 6 would "redefine the parameters of the show." It's possible that the characters won't all be in one place, or in two places, at the start of the season. A one-hour episode can have up to four stories going on at once. Matt, Jeremy, and Tyler are supposed to be living in Mystic Falls after the time jump. Caroline will probably still be at Whitmore, but she might be the only one. I imagine that Stefan, Elena, and Alaric could be gathered in a small house or something outside of Mystic Falls. Maybe the cabin that people keep going to? If Caroline has to be in college by herself, I can see why she'll be the one trying to make everyone gather together as a single driving force to get back into Mystic Falls. The thing is, I don't remember Julie Plec saying specifically that the characters would all live in Mystic Falls after they physically and emotionally make their way back to each other as friends. She said they would go home, but I don't think she was specific about where home would be.

  20. Stefan told Elena back in Season 1 that he couldn't stick around the small town like Mystic Falls for too long because people started to notice he wasn't aging so he moved around a lot. I guess with bigger cities it's different since Marcel has never really left NOLA.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Marcel's old vampire kingdom was mostly underground, and the French Quarter seemed to thrive on the tourism that the possibility of vampires attracted. A guy who looks the same for centuries could be rationalized as being someone's son or grandson who is a dead ringer for his ancestors, and no one would listen to eccentric people who choose to believe that Marcel is a vampire and find a way around compulsion. That was why Cami's threat to expose Klaus didn't make sense. Best case scenario, the human faction would have forced her out of town before she caused an incident. Worst case scenario, vampires would have killed everyone Cami told about them.

Mystic Falls is definitely too small of a town, and people notice too much, for it to be reasonable for the vampire characters to go back there. Since Stefan is the oldest and might attract the most attention, he might decide not to go back to Mystic Falls, and just stay in a cabin or something in a rural area where the other characters will come to visit him. Other characters might choose to stay away along with Stefan. I keep remembering that Jeremy mentioned hating Damon again like a Hunter would. Elena might not be able to live within miles of her brother anymore because witch magic is gone.

I'll wait and see what happens on TO and TVD.

  23. I think Klaus will help her transition better than Elijah. Elijah may even be a little jealous. But I really think that Klaus and Hayley will just be good friends. Nothing romantic, but protective of each other as they see one another as the parent of the only daughter they will have. Elijah may be slightly jealous of their bond. And since she will miss her baby, I think she might see Klaus as a connection to the baby. He may smell like her because of the blood, stuff like that.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Do you follow Phoebe Tonkin on Twitter? She tweeted a picture of herself wearing something from Make a Wish Foundation, and in the picture she was wearing at least one purple hair extension. I'm not sure if she was filming new episodes of TO or something else at the time. The actress herself doesn't wear her hair like that lately. I'm curious about that. I don't care if it resembles something Elena did, or if a connection is even mentioned on the show, but if Hayley does change her hair that way after possibly turning off her humanity so that she won't be sired to her own baby, I'm interested to see how exactly that plays out. I mean, whose idea would it be for Hayley to get a makeover? Would she remember Elena from her time in Mystic Falls and do it on her own, or would Klaus or Elijah decide to help her through her identity crisis by taking her out on the town and/or suggesting that she clock some spa time? I could be making something out of nothing, though. The picture Phoebe Tonkin posted could be very old, or she could have been in hair and makeup for a different role and project. I was always an Elijah/Elena shipper, and sometimes I thought I saw indication that Klaus had feelings for Elena or felt some kind of attachment to her, but I figured he didn't try anything because she's a doppelganger and he wanted power more than he wanted a girlfriend. The thing with Caroline seemed like a way to occupy his free time and to punish Tyler. If I see similarities between the way Hayley's situation plays out and the way Elena's situation was handled by Damon, I'll have to wonder if the writers are giving a throwback for a reason. If Hayley actually turns off her humanity to break a sire bond, it's going to bring up the issue of Elena in some context, whether or not Elena is actually mentioned on the show. Fans, at least, will wonder why that would be happening, and I for one would be very intrigued by both Klaus and Elijah's reactions to Hayley's behavior. Of course the writers would really be messing with our heads if Hayley behaves a lot like Elena did and no one bothers to mention Elena in any way. Some people complain about this sort of thing, but I think it's interesting that the two shows run parallel to each other the way that they do.

Me too. I'm curious to see how it all plays out on "White Collar". I really love the show, and I'm sad it's ending, but I'm glad they're giving it 6 episodes to wrap it all up. Leaving it on a cliffhanger would have been way too cruel to fans.
