The 100 - 1.06 - "His Sister's Keeper" - PREVIEW

20 Apr 2014

Wednesday's episode of The 100 is aptly titled 'His Sister's Keeper'. The main feature of the episode is the focus on the relationship between siblings Octavia and Bellamy, and the circumstances which have shaped them into who they are today.

In 'His Sister's Keeper', the scenes on board the Ark are only flashbacks, which naturally means characters like Abby and Jaha are absent. However this works out very well because the airtime freed up is put to very good use in portraying the somewhat tragic events that occurred earlier in the siblings' lives.

However, don't be fooled into thinking that that is all that happens, because that's never the case on The 100. The flashbacks are used to complement the mission Bellamy, Finn, and others -- but not Clarke -- set out on to extract Octavia from the depths of Grounder country. But the Grounders come out in force, with three of the rescue party perishing, and [SPOILER] critically injured. There's definitely more to the grounders that meets the eye.

Finally, Raven and Clarke struggle to come to terms with the awkward three-way romance that Finn caused, we see how more than 300 bodies are returned to Earth, and is there corruption among the guards on board the Ark?

The 100 airs Wednesday 9|8c on The CW, and this is an episode that you will not want to miss.

  2. Thanks! Yeah it's hard to beat 320 people dying, but still, I love the progression and character development!

  7. Last week was perfect such a great instalment. I think this will be pretty intense and finally they will introduce the Grounders.

Without spoiling anything......You mention Clarke is not on the rescue mission, is there some relevance to her absence or are you just stating a fact when you mention it?

I can't wait. This flashback seems to be very interesting and I hope the other characters like Jasper and Monty also get flashbacks this season.

  13. Great preview!! Can't wait for the ep. In the wondercon vid, the producer says it's the last flashback of the season. This ep will def be good. I hope we get a season 2.

  14. Great preview as always. :) Interesting that Clarke won't go on the rescue mission. Will we get some Bellamy and Clarke interaction in this episode? Always curious because I love their scenes and dynamic. Thank you. :)

  15. Yep Clarke is busy with other things. One word: Raven

  16. Not as much as previous episodes. Bellamy and Clarke spend almost all of the episode apart because she doesn't go to rescue Octavia

  17. Interesting you mention Jasper and Monty. Jasper is in one of those flashbacks.

  18. Thank you for the reply! I guess we know they just get 1 scene at the beginning, and that's pretty much all. The promo pic shows them talking. Oh well, I personally can't wait for episode 8 because I heard that Bellamy/Clarke will be on a mission together for the whole episode. Lots of screen time then! But episodes 6 and 7 looks REALLY intense and amazing. I hope fans will tune in! We need high ratings to get a season 2! So EVERYONE, please tell your friends about the show and get more people to watch it live! And make sure to tweet live as well. I've heard that trending on twitter does tend to help ratings.

  21. Well Jasper is only in one flashback, but I won't say any more as to whether or not he interacts with Octavia or Bellamy ;-)

  22. I already heard who he interacts with int he flashback but I meant I was hoping he got some good scenes with Bellamy in present day.

  23. Jason Rothenberg said in the video interview that was posted on SpoilerTV that there are not going to be any more flashbacks in season 1. But I hope we might get to see more in season 2 (if itcis renewed!)
