Deeks: "We haven't had a lot of time to chat since you've been back." Kensi: "I know. That's gonna change." Deeks: "You mean... it's gonna change?... Does that mean that... Wait a minute, are you back?" Kensi: "It sure looks like it." Deeks: "That's good news.... I was getting a little worried because I'm pretty sure Nell was falling in love with me." (Kensi punches Deeks in the chest.) Deeks: "God! ... And there she is." Kensi: "Here I am. It's good to be back." Deeks: "It's good to have you back." (Tonya Papanikolas)

  1. Lots of good quotes this week. Loved several from Star-Crossed as well this week.

  2. Suggestion:

Ag. Phil Coulson to Ag. John Garrett (AKA the Clairvoyant): "No, John, this is you being a psychopath".

No scandal?? or suits? or Justified? or The americans?

    seriously?

and big bang theory still is the most overrated show on tv.

  4. The quotes from Elementary and Reign mentioned. The quote Cathy mentioned from Agents of Shield.

Being Human (US) series finale: The 4 monologues by the main characters. I missed them when they stopped using them at the beginning of episodes. They were always interesting, meaningful, and well thought out. My favorites were Nora's (about home) and Aidan's (about death).

"When the end comes rushing up at you, and everything that you thought was real starts to fade away, you consider the meaning of the life that you lived and you realize that the only thing that means a damn thing at the end is what you loved. And you think of who you love, and you let it take you home." - Aidan

  5. Likely no one who nominated this week watched those shows. i know I did not. How about you list the quotes that you loved so much in each of these shows instead.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I am going to add some favorite quotes from SHIELD also once I get done with Last Week in TV. It was very quotable last week.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Grimm: I'm too nervous we'd be killed in our sleep to... sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  8. That was a great line as was most of Monroe's dialogue this week. I also liked his reaction to Nick's recapping the night;s previous events.

    ReplyDelete
  9. TBBT had some good lines. That i can't remember right now. lol And the ENTIRE episode of Being Human!! Series finale. (God i miss it so much).

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm miss it so much!! I'm glad you mentioned it. I thought i was the only one.

  11. Cheers for compiling these Dahne :)

It was hard to pick only two from GoT as there were so many to pick from in the fantastic opening episode. Unfortunately I didn't get to see any of my other shows this week apart from Reign so was limited on choice.

  12. Loved scandal this week, like always, and specialy mellies quote. I cant believe

    ReplyDelete
  13. Mellie used to be a character i loved to hate, but now shes my favorite character by far. And so quotable....

    ReplyDelete
  14. I haven't finished all of last week's viewing either. So behind right now.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I loved Being Human. One of my favorite shows. Under appreciated show for Syfy.

  16. I would add a few Reign quotes, this episode was fantastic.

Mary: "I would defy the Devil himself if he tried to buy and sell my country. I will not risk Scotland’s freedom."

Mary: "No one’s ever looked at me like that before. I can still feel it like a weight in my chest. All my life I have been a chess piece in other people’s courts, but now I have the responsibility." (Not so much for the quote itself but for what it means, and it represents perfectly the storyline of that episode where Mary starts to learn what it truly is to hold power)

Catherine to Mary: " Welcome to being a ruling queen, Mary. Men will trust you and die. These are the first, but they won’t be the last. It’ll go on and on until your death because that’s the way it works. And a beautiful young queen, oh, men are gonna throw themselves into the fire for you, my dear. They’ll shoulder lost causes and take on risks they should never take. In time you’ll get used to it. You’ll know in your bones the losses you face each time you send men out and you’ll do it anyway. It’ll be a cold choice, it’s mathematical, you could say. Because the only other option is to pull the covers over your head and give up."

  17. There were so many from Reign this week. Mary is fantastic to watch.

  18. So many great lines! This episode was so fantastic.

  19. Hahahaha "I wrote a bunch down" Nice! I've been a fan since the pilot. It was my absolute favorite and ONLY show on Syfy! Sometimes I myself didn't always enjoy the plot, but I stuck with it, Thick and Thin. That's my Being Human family, and every week I took that hell ride with them. The series finale was perfection and I was so happy for each and every one of them. They deserved it. Ok now I have to stop b/c I'm getting a little teary eyed. Haha = P

    ReplyDelete
  20. I still tear up watching the episode and I watched some scenes from it nearly every day in the last week.

I've been watching since the Pilot too. The only other Syfy show I watch besides it is Warehouse 13, and it is also ending this summer.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm still in my grieving process. I can't bring myself to watch it right now. But I listen to the song that played when Aidan went through his door and reunited with Sally. (I have it on my phone). So when I listen to it I think of the whole series.

I REFUSE to watch anything else from Syfy. Then cancelled my favorite show. I will not give them anymore ratings. And i heard about W13. Sorry for your loss. This is a sad year for tvTV shows. Everything's ending.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Being Human US has NOTHING on the original UK version. Some shows are just meant to stay the way they were originally created.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Reign is such a silly little show. I gave it a shot because I heard it was a hit, but damn was it a waste of my time.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's a matter of opinion. I found both to be overly melodramatic, but I know plenty of people who like the US version better than the UK one. Also many who are the exact opposite.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Again everyone's opinion varies. I am looking forward to watching Reign this summer. I've found quite a few shows on the CW that were much better than I ever expected. I hope Reign will be another one of them.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Come on, we both know the only truly worthwhile show the CW has ever made is and will always remain Supernatural ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. The point is, the US version couldn't even sustain the (melo)drama of the original. Scenes that were dark and dramatic in the original were made riddiculous and shallow by the US version.
The only thing the US version has over the UK one is that it didn't kill off all the main characters and replace them with new ones.
I would bet the majority of people who prefer the US version are US citizens, which is kind of understandable, but kind of short-sighted.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Which was true until Erik Kripke left, who had it planned to finish after 5 seasons until the Studio said 'Nope, we want it to continue. You can go now'.

    So he left.

Then we get Leviathans, Eve? etc The King of Hell as a characters to share a laugh with.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Seasons 6 and 7 were bad, true, but I'm actually enjoying the tablets/Abbaddon/men of letters/fallen angels storylines. Sure, it's not what it used to be, but I would still take Supernatural's worst episode over any other CW show at its best. And the King of Hell is awesome and you know it :P

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dropped that after the totally disastrous season 8. Never been more disappointed in a TV show in my life. A pox on Carver!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hey, no dissing the King of Hell. He was all I had to watch for in season 8 and then they turned him into a crybaby too.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sadly TV must die at some point too. I tend to not hold networks to blame for that since it is a natural process and TV is a business. I am sad Warehouse 13 is leaving but there are a few shows coming down the pipe at SyFY that are catching my interest. Plus there's always Defiance this summer.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Me not staying with Syfy is a choice that i've made peace. Tv will never "die" It's entertainment. I blame Syfy b/c they told us at the last minute when the Cast knew for an entire year and wanted to announce it, but the network wouldn't let them. THAT right there was a deal breaker for me. So idc about their shows anymore. As far as i know, Syfy's been cancelling shows left and right. I wouldn't want to watch a Network that did that. I've already Being Human, now fighting for TTP and SC to survive (which is a very slim chance for both). THEN on top of that this in the last year for TB, which granted, i'm cool with, but still i've been a fan since the beginning, so i will miss it when it ends. So that's 4 shows in one year. So i think i'm good with NOT getting attached to another show for the rest of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I watched some of the UK version and didn't like it. Mostly I found the acting from some of the actors not very good. And yeah, the fact that they had a mess with losing characters hurt it too. I had other more minor irks.

It has nothing to do with the country because I love and watch Sherlock also made in the UK.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Not since Kripke left. It used to be my favorite show. I was so obsessed during Seasons 4 and 5. Then it went downhill after that. Still one of my favorites but I have so many issues with it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really liked the music from the final episode. I have listened to the song played during Aidan's death scene and the song when he visited Sally's grave a lot. I also liked the song when Aidan goes through his door and the song playing when Josh and Nora wake up from their shared dream.

    ReplyDelete
  37. With all my shows, none of what they play is my type of music. But when it fits with a scene (a memorable scene) I give it a listen and end up liking them, so i DL them. It's been happening a lot through the years for me. I listened to all the songs you listed. But the one when Aidan gets his door, was the only real one i liked. Although i did like the Josh/Nora dream song. But felt it wasn't worth the DL. Imo.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've kind of started moving on. I watched the show every night for 5 days after it aired. I got choked up on seeing Aidan on the stairs, him being so happy as a ghost, and the goodbyes/final scenes in the beginning. Now I'm down to the stairs and the door scene.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I've liked I think all the Royal Wood songs the show has played (The final scene song being one of theres). The first of theres on the show was "Juliette" playing back in Season 1 when Aidan and Josh both set out to fight Bishop and Nora reads Josh's letter.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Idc, idc. idc. Idc if i miss out. Syfy has plenty of fans. Me not watching w/e new show they bust out isn't gonna hurt the ratings. But for me, Being Human was/is it for me. I've watched millions of shows since...birth. LOL so i know how it works. But that doesn't mean i have to like it and magically get over it. I for one, have never watched a series that didn't go for 3 seasons or longer. All my shows have been hits. So yeah, i'm not used to losing 4 shows at one time. I have plenty of shows, (15 shows as of now) And a countless collection of all my DVDs, but it's not the same. Not for me. There's something about watching it on tv, that makes it a little more special for me. I can't explain it. But it's different.

No it wasn't the showrunners' they actually wanted to shoot for a 5th season. (Which btw that's when they could've ended it) But they didn't have the budget. And it was agreed with them (and the cast) that they HAD to, b/c they didn't have enough money. Not b/c they wanted to end it. That all i agree with you on. But seriously they could've gotten the money from somewhere. Ugh!!

And yes you're right. that WAS their fault. And that's the MAIN reason of what's turned me off. Long sigh. = (

    ReplyDelete
  41. So that was your plan? Get used to it til there's no more tears left in you, then you move on? LOL that's funny. Kinda smart but funny.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I wasn't intentionally getting it all out. I wanted to watch until I was ready to move on but also just really liked the scenes, even the sad ones. I like touching stuff and really good quotes.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hahahaha you're funny. That made me LOL. I love good quotes and action in my scenes. I only like touching scenes when done correctly and not too cliche. But i can also do w/o them. I have to really connect with the characters (in general) in order to really grieve along with them.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm not trying to tell you what you should do. Just saying I won't be doing the same (though I may hesitant more in going for new shows, especially since right now I have too many).

That's what I was saying. Because of budget cuts they decided not to have the 5th season only because the lack of money made them realize they wouldn't be able to make 2 good seasons and that 1 would be better for the quality of the show. It's hard to get money. Apparently they'd already been short-staffed in the first place/they always had little money to work with.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Mmm yeah depends on how touchy/feely it gets. Can't be too cheesy.

I'm big on action too. That's why I like superhero stuff (and fast cars).

    ReplyDelete
  46. What shows are you planning on watching this yr that AREN'T on the Syfy network? And yes that's probably b/c Syfy was so busy making all these new crappy shows, Getting rid of their best show on the network. (I'm biased sue me, haha). Yeah i'm stubborn and i hold grudges when it comes to my tv shows/characters. Depending on the situation it can take me a long time to get over it. (rolls eyes). Being passionate is a real bitch huh? LOL

But i g2g. My comp is getting hot. So i'm gonna let it charge. And i'm watching Superman 3. Haha. I'll reply to your comment later. = )

    ReplyDelete
  47. I have no Syfy show after Warehouse 13 until Dominion unless that turns out awful.

I have over 20 shows, I am not listening them all. We share quite a bit of shows from where I've seen your posts.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh honey, you gave up SPN for things like Reign? I'm kind of disappointed in you. I mean, I understand, I know SPN is just a shadow of what it used to be, but still.

    ReplyDelete
  49. no, I know, it did go downhill, I'm not pretending it didn't. but it's still better than most of the crap the CW produces, Reign included.
