  1. The moment I saw Mer and Owen there I knew Shonda wouldn't let her win. It'd be too good to be true.

  2. Aw, I'm sad Cristina didn't win. That sucked. But I'm glad Meredith and Owen showed up.

Ugh at that Jackson and Cristina fight. LOL at Callie and Arizona getting stuck with all of them, though.

The twins playing Bailey are very obviously fraternal and it was a little distracting.

I was hoping Arizona would get pregnant. Maybe she'll change her mind? I don't want to see Callie pregnant again! But maybe she won't be able to after the accident? We'll see.

    Great episode!

  4. I'm actually interested in this Jackson/April storyline. I totally empathize with what April is saying, and I feel like faith is apart of many people's lives that goes under represented on TV.

  5. even as an atheist I agree. I suspect she knew that marrying Jackson this would be an issue (vs Mathew whom a marriage to would be easier but less love), but loved him enough to overcome the difference- but didn't realise just how hard it would be...

  6. That was awesome! i loved it!
It was funny watching how everyone pulled an all nighter again!
They are really doing a marvelous job this second half of the season!... They were losing me back in season 8, though i kept watching out of loyalty and hoping things would get better... But now the show has turned into one of my favorites again!

Though i'm sick of every couple having struggles every season, the fight between Jackson and April seemed so realistic to me. "Faith" isn't a subject you just take lightly, but we'll see where this goes!.

  7. Poor Cristina, I feel really bad for her. But really sweet of Mer and Owen for showing up.
I saw this coming for April and Jackson.
Lol at Arizona freaking out during the coin toss and asking Callie to do it.

  8. I agree..the last few episodes have been so good. I was quite disappointed at the first half of the season..but the second half has been lovely so far!

  9. Aw man, I wish Cristina would've won. I feel bad! I hope Shonda has something seriously great planned for her character now..not keeping my hopes too high though.
    This was a great episode!

  10. I agree, there are hardly any Christian characters on TV I can think of. BUT it always bothered me how April is written. To me, it feels like they have no idea how to write a character of faith, how this character's belief system would inform their overall behavior. None. Even I thought she was a nut job back when. Let's not even talk about the Matt storyline...

Now, I can't quite buy this conflict. At all. If anything, faith is the one topic they actually DID talk about because it was a major obstacle when they first got together. April should know full well - as we all do - how a lot of atheists view our belief. Just watch Bill Maher or even The Daily Show, read the callous reviews of GIMME SHELTER etc. etc. . We know this. But it doesn't matter that much. To me, faith is about love and forgiveness, working things out and co-exist peacefully. Especially in a relationship.

  11. Great episode! I love how much this second half of the season has turned around.

I'm so sad for Cristina though. I think it's right she probably shouldn't win at her stage, but as she won't be around for us to see her finally win... I imagine this may play a part in her departure? Saying goodbye at the taxi made me really sad and it really hit me she's leaving. :(

  12. Agreed, it'll be interesting to see how they work this out

  13. Totally agree, the one part about April's faith that I do agree with is how April felt sorry for Jackson. That felt like a totally real reaction. However they decide to play the storyline out, I'm just glad a faith-based storyline is even out there.

  14. Cristina is my favorite character, but I have to say I'm glad she didn't win- It would have been too contrived, IMO. Actually, the nomination is too contrived! I mean, not even a hint of a nomination for Derek's glioma trial or that super awesome spinal tumor surgery, or Callie's prosthetic bones, or Mark's skin flap, or Bailey's fistula or her (Richard's) islet cell transfer- And those supposedly worked, and the doctors involved could explain why they worked. Cristina herself confessed she couldn't explain why the child survived even though her device failed! Seriously, find a better way to say Goodbye! Like, maybe, she could have had Derek's opportunity, where the President has a pet project that involves major research into CT surgery and the guy that mentored her in Mayo (the one who died) recommended her and they finally finished vetting her and she's going to work on an unlimited budget or something!

  15. True, we kinda have to be grateful that we got one character. But I just can't get behind how ugly that fight got - or that it became a fight in the first place - and it pissed me off that she left the house. To me it feels like once again her character had to go from 0 to 100 in no time. Also, shouldn't both of them know by now that they need to be careful and patient when it comes to that issue?

  16. Overall I enjoyed this one, until the "I feel sorry for you...so sad.." the voice of the patronizing righteous christian. Surely Grey could have stayed out of the religion...

  17. Meredith and Owen there was priceless God i knew Shonda wasnt going to let her win! but that moment alone with Mer and Christina holding hands was everything.
Jackson and April really have an interesting storyline the religious theme is a very "tabu" topic and i like what they are doing. I found funny that Jackson was having a hard time telling April she was being ridiculous and April didnt when she told him she pity him.
Anyone else has a deja vu when Christina, Mer and Alex where togetehr on the O.R it made me think of past season when they were all together getting ready for a long night.

  18. I also hated that April dismissed Jackson's idea of faith and lectures him on what faith actually is.

  19. The hell people talking about? April is a nutjob. Faith is believing things without good reason, it's gullibility. She deserves no respect for it, and Jackson is absolutely right. Her beliefs are ridiculous. But the worst of all is that these two are supposed to be besties since Mercy West. This conversation would have come up much earlier than this. That was bad convenient TV writing.

  20. While I feel April's frustration with Jackson's attitude, I also feel like she was really dismissive of Jackson's view on what he believes was HIS faith. Faith does NOT equal religion, why is it OK for her to outright say that Jackson's faith in Medicine is not Faith, but hers in Jesus is? They are both treating the other with intolerance and a complete lack of understanding. And, for what it's worth, April is in the wrong profession if she wants to believe that deafness is a blessing!
