  1. Scandal is just beyond magic! Outch for Reign....... I'm glad the CW has already renewed it!

  2. The good thing is:
Reign is not lead-in dependend, because it had a 0.4 out of a 0.3, and a 0.4 out of a 0.7. And it faced all competition, and is up in viewers.

    The bad thing is:
0.4 is way too low for those viewers. Does Reign suddenly skew much younger/older? It had once a 0.6 with 1.40 Million Viewers, so ...

Even when it's moved, I think and hope:
Reign gets 0.5-0.6 in the fall, and a 0.4 in spring.

But honestly, as a fan, but also as a realistic person:
It won't go beyond two seasons. As long as they can wrap up stuff.

I don't watch Reign but I must say this 0.4 was well deserved:

I want to see her saying it after this show lasts two seasons and becomes BATB 2.0, leaving her jobless.

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones, the most downloaded show of the last two years can't stop growing on ratings.

  4. I think she was joking? She said Psych at the end?

  5. Reign is actually a pretty good show. Nothing annoys me more than when a show that does something different gets crap numbers, and the dime a dozen cop and medical dramas keep getting high numbers. Sometimes I wonder if the viewers even know what the hell they want.

  6. Sounds desperate!!

  7. I kinda agree with her. Game of Thrones gets pirated after it airs. Reign airs earlier in Canada, so can be pirated before Reign airs in the US. And more people are pirating it now, then they did in fall, so that could have an affect.

  8. Airing a day earlier in Canada has literally no effect on the ratings.

  9. The best way to support our favorite shows is by watching them live (if we have Nielsen boxes) or at least on the official site of the channel. I don't blame her.
And you're really comparing Game of Throne to Reign? Hbo is a premium channel. The americans who haven't subscriptions or the people who live in the rest of world download it.
I think I'd download its episodes even if I had a subscription.

Probably Game of Thrones keeps gaining viewers because of the huge spread of mouth.
I think It's a great show that deserves the success is having. I wish Hannibal and Reign had its success.

I like all the three series I mentioned. Game of Thrones and Reign are already renewed but these last ratings of Reign worry me, because I don't want it to be cancelled on the next season.
Hopefully Hannibal will be renewed too (or saved by another network), despite the low ratings.
And there are also other series that I like that are still in danger (The 100, Revolution, The Tomorrow People and Nashville).

Anyway, you have the right to think different.

  10. By checking some of her other tweets... Eh I'd say, she's totally not helping either Reign or it's ratings by her attitude lol. And having no idea who Nelson, Nielsen, whoever... is... lol.

  11. Did you read the tweets of the crazy fans demanding her to meet them in person?

  12. I like Grey's Anatomy and I'm happy that it's still doing well, but I think that both Reign and The 100 (for example) deserve higher ratings (for Cw's standards), despite being of a genre that is not wide like medical and crime dramas.

  13. Sorry but I don't understand, why not? If my favourite show airs earlier and I don't want to wait,I can watch It in streaming or even worse download It instead of watch It live..If 1000 people do the same thing, how come the live numbers are not affected by this?

  14. Because you don't have a Neilsen box.

As an example, CTV aired the first half of Castle's season a day earlier, and there was no drop in ratings.

  15. lol... I didn't... well, still she's semi rude

  16. Wow. What an incredibly rude and ignorant comment. There are lots of other ways to watch a show the next day even without pirating.. And even if some of the international fans are getting it through piracy, it still is not a reason to chastise the show's fans. Aside from ratings, fans help to create buzz for shows and also for the actors and characters involved.

  17. Seems Community did a lot better this episode which promised Jeff/Annie development, vs previous episode which was billed as big on Jeff/Britta. Maybe just a coincidence...?
