  1. Klaus in TO
    Francis in Reign

    +

Luke Mitchell from TTP ! He should have been the lead and the show would be much much better. Terrible actors (Stephen+Cara) are the main reason why it is not the hit show it was supposed to be

  2. Daniel Gillies
    James Spader
    Joseph Morgan
    Charles Michael Davis
    Robbie Amell
    Matthew Rhys
    Michael Ealy

  3. Come on, where is Tatiana Maslany?

    ReplyDelete
  4. I was thinking the same, but only ACTORS (males) are here

    ReplyDelete
  5. James Spader from The Blacklist is my pick for best actor, because of his immense presence and prowess onscreen.

Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black is my pick for best actress, because of her incredible versatility and technical precision in playing 4 different characters at once.

  6. Joseph Morgan as Niklaus Mikaelson in The Originals;
Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yeah I thought the world was moving on and 'actor' was becoming a unisex term. Maybe the question asker hasn't yet

    ReplyDelete
  8. Spader, no one comes even close.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Mads Mikkelsen, even more after this week's episode!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Hugh Dancy.

    Mads Mikkelsen!

  13. Joseph Morgan
    Luke Mitchell
    Torrance Coombs

  14. It's kinda disrespectful towards Kevin Bacon to not include him but to include James Purefoy from the same show The Following. I voted for Mads.

    ReplyDelete
  15. sixseasonsandamovie23 March 2014 at 12:19

Mads Mikkelsen, Michael Sheen and James Spader.

Matthew Rhys.and Dancy are the honorable mentions.

  16. I agree with you. I also have "actor" as a unisex term. I also have director, producer, editor, etc. as a unisex term. I don't even know if there is a female version of director, producer and editor.....? Even if there is, actor is the same way for me - used for male and female.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Matthew Rhys, Tom Mison and Mads Mikkelsen

    ReplyDelete
  18. - Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex).
    - Matthew Rhys (The Americans).
    - James Spader (The Blacklist).
    - Mads Mikkelsen / Hugh Dancy (Hannibal).

I would mention Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, too.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Antony Starr - Bansee
Santiago Cabrera - The MusketersAlan Van Sprang - Reign

  20. I´m happy to see all the love for Mads Mikkelsen.
For me the favorites are: Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy, Michael Sheen, Antony Starr, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Boy, did I miss Banshee this week!!! It was awful!
Glad Hannibal was brilliant, it made me forget about Banshee for an hour. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Same here, it's felt like a bit of an empty week with no preview to write, no episode and no chatting about it :( It's gonna be a bloody long 10 months! lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. Tom Mison, Karl Urban and Michael Ealy, though it's only because of the shows on the list Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow are the only ones I watch xD. Still, those are good actors

    ReplyDelete
  24. James Spader
    Tom Mison
    Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thank you Jimmy for insinuating that I'm backward based on my use of ONE freaking word!!! I can never predict what will offend people in these polls ( BTW, the Academy Awards and the entire Spanish dictionary would also like to apologize to you for their inability to "move on") As much as I consider myself a feminist, I really don't think that the use of gender-specific words like actor/actress has any bearing on gender equality (if that's what you mean by moving on).I don't think that we should have to relinquish the things that identify us as females in order to be considered en par with men!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree...but I couldn't help myself....I love James Purefoy and there were only 20 spots....

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hugh Dancy and James Spader :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tom Mison, Aaron Lveit & Luke Mitchell.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Toby Regbo (Reign) should've been nominated tbh. Shame.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Why Toby Regbo is not listed here? You put Torrance Coombs but not him, when he's as relevant (if not more) as him on the show, On which parameters you made this list?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Why on earth is Toby Regbo not on this list? He's a much better actor than Torrance.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Toby Regbo (Reign)

Smh at Torrance being on here but not Toby. He's such a talent.

    ReplyDelete
  33. the bias hurts my soul tbh

    ReplyDelete
  34. Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy of course!

    ReplyDelete
  35. You guys know that Francis/Mary are the most popular couple on Reign. Why on earth would you not include Toby Regbo on this list?

    ReplyDelete
  36. How the hell is Toby Regbo not an option? Have you seen his acting compared to Torrance Coombs'? RIDICULOUS.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Seriously! Can't believe they'd list Torrance and exclude Toby. Side eyeing this list SO HARD.

    ReplyDelete
  38. No Max Thieriot from Bates Motel? Dylan is one of the standouts in that show.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I chose Joseph Morgan from the list.
Quite odd that Toby Regbo (Reign) isn't on the list, he's a much stronger actor than Torrance Coombs imo. I can only guess why he's not though...

    Simon Merrells The Tomorrow People

    ReplyDelete
  41. Spader, Purefoy and Luke Mitchell.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Mads Mikkelson, James Spader & Anthony Starr are the clear winners for me. Was there a single more awesome action scene on TV the past year than Sheriff Hood's takedown of the rapist UFC fighter on Banshee?

    ReplyDelete
  43. jessica messina23 March 2014 at 16:11

Simon Merrells in The Tomorrow People....

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yup. Kevin Bacon is probably the only reason people watch The Following..cause it's getting more ridiculous by the second.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh and where are the actresses?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Mads MIkkelsen, James Spader and Matthew Rhys.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I voted for Michael Ealy, James Spader and Tom Mison, but Karl Urban and Antony Starr are in my list too.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I voted for Tom Mison and only Tom Mison because what he does with Ichabod Crane is absolutely remarkable to watch. It's the most difficult character to play believably and sympathetically, and he is absolutely brilliant at it. Best performance on TV right now, hands down.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, Karl Urban, Michael Ealy, Tom Mison, and Kevin Bacon.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Samantha Renee ღ23 March 2014 at 17:12

Torrance Coombs all the way! If this list included shows that premiered in 2014 I'd also say Matt Lanter, but alas no. :( They're my two faves right now. <3 But Torrance 100%. Best, most versatile actor on The CW (and TV, let's be real) right now.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yay for Torrance Coombs for being included. smh at people saying he doesn't deserve it. Have you not seen him on the Reign, he's great! Hes also amazing with fans with twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hetal Mikaelson23 March 2014 at 17:20

Joseph Morgan Daniel Gillies Torrance Coombs Luke Mitchell Tom Mison <3

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hetal Mikaelson23 March 2014 at 17:21

he makes the show work. its due to him TTP has so many fans :') he should have been lead

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm not sure you even know what versatile means tbqh.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Samantha Renee ღ23 March 2014 at 17:33

Go watch something else Torrance is in (and then everything else) and then tell me I don't know what versatile means.

    ReplyDelete
  56. On a different poll

    ReplyDelete
  57. Mads, Joseph and Daniel.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Actually, I have and still don't know why he merits "versatile" label. Torrance seems charming in RL but acting not his strong suit. I'd rank both Toby and Alan above him in terms of talent.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Because ships mean the best actor? lol ok

    ReplyDelete
  60. Um, no.....but talented actors are often in the most popular ships. Toby is incredibly talented. I expect him to have an amazing career outside the CW.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Torrance Coombs for Reign! I think he's actually one of the best actors on it, next to Megan Follows. I also loved him in the Tudors before Reign. He's an awesome guy and its great that he is being nominated!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Torrance is flawless.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Torrance Coombs. His scenes in in episode 13 of Reign made me cry. I thought that was great acting.
Also Joseph Morgan for The Originals.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Sorry to butt in. I'd agree with Alan. With Toby, no. I think Torrance is much better than him in terms of acting. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Samantha Renee ღ23 March 2014 at 18:20

Alan is, indeed, amazing on all levels.

    ReplyDelete
  66. KatherineQueenPierce23 March 2014 at 18:23

    TORRANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. KatherineQueenPierce23 March 2014 at 18:30

for those who are bitching about Torrance. I'm sorry Toby wasnt included. Even if im team Torrance. I think Toby deserved to be here too..imo he's great as Francis and great actor in general. Im sure he'll make it another occasion. But YOU DONT HAVE to belittle Torrance's talent because HE'S DAMN GREAT in his job. You cannot argue that. He deserves to be on this list. So instead of being so bitter and immature about it. Be more supportive of Toby.. it's sad his fanbase has gained such poor reputation because not all of them are like that im sure.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Just remember it's a user submitted poll which means that one random fan picks a question and the answers. Probably his favorites or the people he or she is interested to see compared. Not everyone is gonna be listed, just the ones this fan chose to include. No reasons necessary.

    ReplyDelete
  69. To these people defending Torrance, this is not about one actor being better than another, this is about how stupid is that not both male actors of the show were included. When they put both TO actors. So Why Spoiler TV this? Why you left out Toby Regbo when he's a great actor and his role in the show is as important as the one Torrance Coombs plays?

    ReplyDelete
  70. "Be more supportive of Toby.. it's sad his fanbase has gained such poor reputation because not all of them are like that im sure"

What on earth are you talking about? His fans are asking why he was not included in this poll and they are not showing his support and respect ???

You people need to stop playing the victims , it really doesn't suit you.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Brandy Danforth23 March 2014 at 19:16

Id say Daniel G, Charles from TO and Torrance of Reign

    ReplyDelete
  72. Mads, Michael Ealy, and James Purefoy <3

    ReplyDelete
  73. "Maybe the question asker hasn't yet"
Seriously? Insulting people for using English correctly is just lame.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hannibal boys are awesome! Also love James Spader, Tom Mison and James Purefoy.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Mads Mikkelsen shows as Hannibal Lecter the best acting performance ever. I love the movies and I love the great Anthony Hopkins but Mikkelsen beats everybody.

    ReplyDelete
  76. KatherineQueenPierce23 March 2014 at 21:12

his fans are saying that by diminishing Torrance saying he's less talented. BOTH BOYS ARE TALENTED. AND BOTH SHOULD BE THERE. And thats about what im gonna say about it. Maybe if most of you chose to defend him better people wouldnt have a problem .

where is Agent of Shield characters?

    ReplyDelete
  78. KatherineQueenPierce23 March 2014 at 21:32

btw how do you know that? evertime i see polls the two ships are pretty even if you ask me... and not always frary wins. I really hate when people start making claims as being ''the biggest fandom'' as if that has to prove something

    ReplyDelete
  79. No one said that Torrance shouldn't be included. Most of the gripes are that Toby is not included. Which it is only a user submitted poll, so obviously the person who made it is just a fan of Torrance's.
And if anyone feels like Toby is a better actor than Torrance, then that is their opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Michael Sheen at less than 2% tends to show the age of the voters.

    ReplyDelete
  81. James Spader blows everyone out of the water..there is no competition.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Karl Urban from Almost Human, and Tom Mison from Sleepy Hollow

    ReplyDelete
  83. Tom Mison (love my tall, dark, and British), Daniel Gillies (his name is self explainatory on its own) and Luke Mitchell. His character is so versatile, he could have a scene with a brick wall, and it'd still be memorable. I love that he has chemisry, (not talking romantic) with EVERY single person he comes across.

One's i couldn't vote for...James Purefoy. JoMo i love you, but i hate your character.

Other- Kevin Bacon (everything's better with a little Bacon). Shawn Ashmore. (been a fan since i was 7). And the way he's playing Mike this season, gah! i love it.

    ReplyDelete
  84. He should've absolutely been the lead. I don't dislike Stephen as much as I did in the beginning (circa his sleeping with Cara... ugh), but John is so much more charismatic and easier to root for. He's flawed, but a hero through and through.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I am glad that karl Urban finally got himself a cool acting part, i always wanted to see more of him. And Almost human turned out to be such a great show, if only the ratings reflected it.
Also Mads Mikkelson makes my blood run cold as Hannibal. Probably the best casting of the last five years. i keep thinking and can't come up with another example of an actor so born to play one particular role.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Luke Mitchell, Tom Mison, Michael Ealy, James Spader, Daniel Sunjata and James Purefoy.

    ReplyDelete
  87. James Spader...only

    ReplyDelete
  88. Tom Mison is just the best! He makes a fantastic ichabod Crane with his wit and charm and he's a great actor!

    ReplyDelete
  89. hugh dancy is goddamn brilliant

    ReplyDelete
  90. Bob Morley The 100

    ReplyDelete
  91. start_wearing_purple8 April 2014 at 00:31

James Spader, Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Whovian Browncoat8 April 2014 at 00:31

Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen and James Spader.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hugh Dancy and Freddie Highmore

    Edit: I forgot Mads Mikkelsen.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Luke Mitchell. I don't know if he's a great thespian who can pull off intense emotional scenes and such, but damn, does he make his character on TTP instantly likable. John is sexy, charming, badass, loyal, sweet, caring, empathetic and whatnot... without him that show would fall apart completely. And Luke has chemistry with pretty much everyone, including Tim.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Spader's riveting. Also, the Almost Human guys do great work.
