  1. Who in the hell voted this episode as awful?! This was seriously James Roday's gift to us Psych-Os. It was so incredible and funny and gave every true Psych-O something in every second. Three hole punch, more Steve Frank's cameos, seeing Kelly Kulchak as a nun zombie, Curt Smith died again. Best episode of Psych ever! Oh, and Gus screaming! I mean, C'mon Son!

  3. Billy Zabka playing D Bag and Bruce Campbell both in the same episode? Amazing.

  4. I think every type of horror movie spoof was represented in this hilarious episode.

  5. Evidently people with a different opinion to yourself...

It was shockingly bad, not remotely funny at all, in fact it didn't even raise a smile for me at any point. The fact that this was the 2nd last episode of one of my favourite shows probably indicates that ending Psych is the way to go. They worked on a case for about 5 minutes with no theatrics, no witty banter, so basically no anything that always made Psych great whilst leaving us with 30 minutes of Gus having dreams about Zombies that were simply tiresome.

I only hope that they don't do fans of the show a disservice by creating an equally crap finale (and the promo for the finale basically showing Gus crying non stop isn't leaving me with much hope). Psych has managed to create many emotional yet funny episodes in the past, and I pray that the finale does the same.

  6. let's be honest here: Psych has replaced well-plotted episodes with thought-out funnies jokes a long time ago with cheap shots build around a thin construct (and characters which became more and more cartoony and unlikable). Since season 6 started I can count the episodes which hit the balance on one hand, and the last one which deserved a really high rating because it provided a good plot, with a good parody and really funny jokes was the episode with the bachelorette reality show.
My hopes for the finale are very, very low.

this episode was maybe the scariest thing Psych has ever done, but it was also what has been so great about Psych. They take a theme and just run wild with it. I'm glad Roday got to direct one last episode and this was a perfect one for him to put his stamp on. He's done so great with any horror related episode he's gotten to work with over the years and this was no different. I personally could have done without the freaky zombies and all that right before I went to bed, but thats just because I'm a chicken lol. Even though it was scary, it still felt like Psych and I was cracking up while being slightly traumatized

  8. WE voted for this episode remember? This is what WE as Psych-Os voted for. If you didn't smile at the three hole punch joke, then clearly you need to rewatch the series or something. This wasn't about the case, this was about throwing every scary movie reference as you can into one episode and throwing out as many throwback Psych references as possible.

The finale, while I haven't seen it, is not only Gus crying (which wasn't the entire promo btw). The promo's for this season have been not on par lately so do not judge it on that. The finale is a love letter to us. We have Juliet and Vick back, we have BILLY ZANE (finally), and if you think it's still crappy after everything I know they have planned for us, then whatever.

People have different opinions but the point of the episode wasn't to make sense at all. Plus, there was so many things with Shawn and Gus in there that WERE real. Shawn is probably going to be leaving him to go with Jules and Psych might be the "break-up" that they are talking about.

  9. I happen to enjoy this episode very much. The 80s horror flick references were priceless and classic "Psych". I hate seeing this show leave the air, it was something that we looked forward to in the middle of the week and had a good laugh for an hour. The whodunit was secondary to the all the paradies that happen totally unexpected during the show. Classic done, classic is! One question: Does anyone know what the 239 references is about? In 3 separate episodes there are hotel/motel rooms numbered 239. Just curious.

  10. "WE voted for this episode remember? This is what WE as Psych-Os voted for. If you didn't smile at the three hole punch joke, then clearly you need to rewatch the series or something."

WE may have voted for this, but not every Psych-O voted for this episode and not everyone find the same things amusing (I know, i'm mentioning opinions again, but it's something that really does seem lost on you with the manner of your posts).

It's evident enough from the poll that not everyone were as thrilled with this episode as you were. That said i'm glad you did enjoy it, but for me it put a major downer on one of my favourite shows and has severely dented my enthusiasm for the finale.

"The finale, while I haven't seen it, is not only Gus crying (which wasn't the entire promo btw)."

Oh I know it wasn't the entire promo, but there were numerous scenes of Gus crying and unfortunately Gus crying has always been something i've found tiresome and irritating. I will undoubtedly still watch it but my expectations now are pretty low. Maybe that's a good thing that'll make me enjoy the finale more, who knows.

"Plus, there was so many things with Shawn and Gus in there that WERE real. Shawn is probably going to be leaving him to go with Jules and Psych might be the "break-up" that they are talking about."

That definition of "so many" is really just the one though isn't it? I get the point that the point of the nightmares was to highlight Gus' fears of his and Shawn's partnership ending, but that point was evident within the first 5 minutes of the show after the first nightmare. The rest of it was essentially filler that didn't really offer anything other than the kind of movie references that we have "Scary Movie" films for. So yeh, it just didn't tick any boxes for me.

  12. Gus' screams are so funny. he had me in stitches! I loved the episode, I realise it's not to everyones liking. I actually thought it was quite scary too :)

  13. Unfortunately I am not a zombie fan so it was a bit much for me, and I couldn't tell what was really happening vs. what was a dream, AND I was getting a headache. But I love the characters and Dule Hill's screaming ability is amazing! And it was fabulous to see Bruce Campbell! I had no idea that was Curt Smith - how cool! So yes it was fun IF you are into zombies : ) And who is that blonde chick? I miss Juiet! So I am looking forward to the final : )

  14. First (& I hope only) episode of Psych that I have rated below Great.
Never thought they would get an awful rating from me, yet they did.
The writers, producers & director of this episode owe everyone that watched it 35 minutes of their life back, because there was only about 7 minutes where it was ok/good.
What a waste of so many guest appearances.
I frankly don't know how this got made. This was utter crap.
One of the 10 worst episodes of any show I have watched.
I'm still in shock, how a great series like Psych let THIS be its 2nd to last episode.

  15. I thought it was pure fun! And this episode was voted for over the summer, remember? The fans voted for this type of episode to happen. Let's put it this way, they probably wanted a light-hearted episode for the most likely emotional series finale next week. Hard to believe next week is the final episode of the series.

Bruce Campbell was awesome. Gus' girly screams (always been my favorite thing on the show). The mention of the 3-hole punch (thanks for that). It was great to see old faces again like Gus' mom. I really loved it. It's just sad to see Psych leave next week.

  16. Loved it! Great directing by James Roday, and wonderful anchoring of an episode by Dule Hill. Great to see Curt Smith again. And Phylicia Rashad too! Even though they did get either zombified and eaten. Awesome!

And FINALLY a Psych Zombie episode!

Kudos to the make-up crew for this one!

Alas... sigh... my sad Gus face.... :( Can't believe there's only one eppy left...
