Interview with Michael Rapaport - Daryl Crowe Jr on Justified

I had the pleasure of interviewing Michael Rapaport, who plays Daryl Crowe Jr on Justified, this morning. Here are just a few teases he had for what's coming on Justified. Be sure to check back for the full transcript of the interview. What follows are not direct quotes.

Michael emphasized the importance of family to Daryl, but also said that after last night's episode, Daryl would not be playing around. He's ready to get what he wants, and it's a take no prisoners situation. Even though family is his motivation, he doesn't always live up to his own ideals.

Michael had nothing but praise for leads Walton Goggins and Timothy Olyphant. He said his favorite scene between Daryl and Boyd was their very first meeting in the bar because it was such a long scene with plenty of ebbs and flows.

He also said that the big scene in last night's episode was great to do because there was so much talent in the room. Everyone was taking pictures with each other as they are all fans of each other.

Michael said that learning the accent was tough and a lot of work and that filming is very intense because everyone is committed to doing such great work. He also intimated that that's one of the things that makes the show fulfilling. He also praised the work of Alicia Witt (Wendy) and teased that there was even more of her great work to come. He also mentioned that Jacob Lofland (Kendall) was doing great work and is a really sweet kid.

Michael's final words as the call was wrapped up were "It gets better and better, crazier and crazier - and bloodier!"

You aren't going to want to miss a minute of the rest of this season. Don't forget that Justified is on FX at 10pm on Tuesdays!
