  1. Yeah, I figured Davina would end up going under the knife, so to speak, in this episode. Also, I wonder how long into the episode it'll take Hayley to confess to Elijah what she did in the previous episode?

  2. Hayley appears to have some redeemable qualities. I just wish she wasn't shown as a victim so fast when she really isn't. She's not just tough, she's been known to use people, and it takes time for someone like that to change and make it believable. I broke down and watched The Casket Girls today and I couldn't get over the bad writing. I'm anxious to see if Tyler shows up in tonight's episode. Something is supposed to get him out of the garden, but I don't see Klaus just letting him go unless something huge changes Tyler's attitude. Joseph Morgan appears to be the star of the show because Klaus has a tendency to win, despite him being a formidable villain. I don't think Tyler will just escape. At least I hope not. What he did should be addressed. Hayley's comment in the promo about the family getting more complicated by the second tells me that Rebecca will probably strike right away, and someone will have to deal with her or let her get away with it.

  3. Ha! I don't know where to start. All I did was pose a question about the timing of Hayley's confession and you sort of went off in a completely different direction and then a few other directions as well. I'll give it a shot anyway...

    - Every time Hayley does something underhanded it seems to be about finding/helping/protecting her family. That's no different from what the Mikaelsons do all the time. No better, no worse.
    - On the subject of Tyler: Try as I might, I am unable to give an unbiased opinion of him and his various subplots. His character has stuck around past his expiration date. The writers of both shows ran out of interesting stories for him and now he's being awkwardly shoehorned into both series. The most fitting end for Tyler would have been if he was killed in the woods by Klaus. I don't say this out of spite either. It's the logical conclusions to his self-destructive decisions. I no longer have any interest in Tyler and my opinion is that any screen time spent on him is wasted screen time.
    - If there's any griping to be done about the writing it should be about Rebekah's abrupt and puzzling about-face. Up until last week Rebekah didn't care about power, control, or the city of New Orleans. Now, all of a sudden, she's preoccupied with all of it. It's ridiculous.
    - Of course Joseph Morgan is the star of the show. He's the reason Plec wanted to do the spinoff in the first place and has said publicly that as much as TVD is Damon's redemption story, The Originals is Klaus' redemption story. I know some people won't like that realization but don't shoot the messenger. I'm just relaying the info.

  4. I really liked Tyler last season on TVD when he stepped up at the public eulogy for Pastor Young to get himself shot on purpose to force Connor to play his hand so they could save April and keep Elena from freaking out and outing herself as a vamp since she could smell her blood and was starving at that point.
His desire to help the hybrids was nice too, he came long way from the kid who just stood there while Brady aka the Green Arrow (well he is now, lol) kept Caroline hostage and tortured her. But then... Backstabber Hayley happened. Ugh. TO won't even acknowledge her part in that mess! UGH! UGH! UGH!
Unfortunately, Tyler has nothing to do this season cept have sex with Caroline, crush her heart, and try to kill a god damn baby! WUUUT?! A baby? Seriously? They really needed some more backstory on that to show why he was desperate enough to do that. God knows it would have been much more interesting then the Silas/Tessa/Amora crap we sat through on TVD instead.

  5. Agreed; the show is about Klaus' redemption. He is 1000 years old and didn't get to live that long without creating enemies along the route. LOL.

  6. Some characters just aren't meant to have an open-ended lifespan and Tyler seems to be one of them. His transformation from human douche to responsible, selfless werewolf was a damn good one but the character has been off the rails ever since. I have my doubts that adding backstory to his current subplots would serve to remedy that.

As for Silas/Qetsiyah, I re-watched the current season over the break and, though I originally had the same opinion of that plot as you did, I came to the realization that their storyline was much more entertaining than the Augustine/Dr. Maxfield crap that's still going on.

  7. Most of the season has been pretty bad in my opinion, lol. Silas had some lol one liners but overall was boring but I did really like the Katherine bits, other than that, I can't think of anything that I liked. Probably why I am so excited for the 100h since it looks like it might be a good ep. It's felt like it's been awhile since I've been excited for new TVD.

  8. For me, this has been the least satisfying season of TVD so far but I've been able to re-watch most of it without skipping much except for the Augustine stuff.

  9. I've been more entertained by this season of TVD than by most episodes of TO. I'm only watching TO to see if there's any indication of potential crossovers. The rumors are getting crazy.
