Revenge - Episode 3.12 - Endurance - Review

Tonight was an episode of Revenge I did not want to delay, even against the Golden Globes on this nice Sunday evening. I did not regret my choice, as this was my favorite Revenge episode this season. The last two episodes where phenomenal. So many developments occurred in the last episode I couldn’t bear to wait one more night to find out what would happen to our amnesic anti-hero. Plus, the promo for this week’s episode was insane! Let’s recap. In last week’s episode, Homecoming, Emily couldn’t remember who she was. In a moment she thought was clarity, she blurred out to Charlotte they were step-sisters, they had the same dad, David Clarke. This revelation didn’t impact last episode the way it should have, but let’s hope it will in the next few episodes. Patrick also had a falling out with Nolan and saw Emily’s Infinity Box hidden behind a painting in Nolan’s wall. He ran to mommy with that information, which meant trouble ahead for Emily. To top it off, pretty much everyone in the show knows Daniel is the shooter, but the Grayson’s conveniently framed Lydia for the murder attempt. I want to continue believing this wasn’t the extent of her return to the Hamptons.(Maybe Conrad is looking for her??)

Last week, I really loved how the episode ended, but I didn’t quite understand what it meant. Is Emily still foggy on the details of her new life as Emily Thorn, or will she be faking memory loss to save her ass from the Graysons until she gets better? Thanks for not making me wonder more than a few seconds into that episode. The amnesia storyline was used adequately, wasn't overused, which made for some great TV.
“Or maybe you’re using this visit as an excuse to have purchased that jacket” I love their chemistry together. Nolan’s face when he saw she remembered him was beyond cute.

Daniel tried to kill his newly-wed wife, who’s been manipulating him for well over two years, because he realised he had feelings for his ex-girlfriend who he thought tried commit suicide. Daniel,s life isn't as charmed as it could be. I bet he’s feeling all kinds of stupid right know thinking Sarah just couldn’t bear living without him, his murdurous ass still managed to get her back though. I just can't feel any sympathy towards him even though maybe, Emily is kind of at fault here. Daniel surely is getting darker by the episode and it's a good change-up for the character. I’m enjoying and looking forward to Emily and Daniel’s new relationship based on distain and hatred (which happens to be next episode’s title).

I really like that Aiden’s nurse friend Nikko, actually is Takeda’s daughter. It’s a nice touch. The relationship between Aiden and Nikko, I think I can root for, but it’s bound to end badly knowing how Takeda was murmured. Also, Emily and Aiden over gives a chance for Emily and Jack. She can't have kids, and Jack has one who's missing a mother, fits kind of perfectly, right? Also, how darn cute is Carl?

Victoria and Patrick pairing up against Emily and Nolan was bound to have terrific consequences, especially with Emily being out of her game. During the fight between Victoria and her “bastard child” I was hoping that Patrick would eventually turn on her, that the side he was seeing, the untrusting, bitchy, manipulative side would be enough to make him change sides in this war. I really was hoping, he’s so damn cute, how can he side with evil?Even though he,s only really looking for his mother’s approuval through all of this, once you club Nolan in the back of the head, you’re dead to me.

The Emily death stare is back. I’ve missed it last week. She’s done it again. Upon learning the Grayson’s have taken her future from her, she’s back on track to revenge. I can’t imagine what would have happened had Victoria uncovered the truth about Amanda Clark. Emily managed to fake an infinity box so Victoria would think she’s discovered her deep, dark secret. It's good to have friends like Nolan. When it was unclear what Emily was doing and she wanted out, I thought it wasn’t a bad idea. Let’s face it, she’s throwing her life away and she ain’t that good at it. I’m not sure if I’m behind the decision she took to continue on her path to revenge. Of course, it makes for a better show, but rooting for Emily is getting harder and harder. I still do, though, but hope to be able to continue until she's sucessfuly taken down the Graysons.

I have absolutely no idea where Emily is heading with her plan to stay married to Daniel, but she sure plans to play dirty. Victoria seemed to understand her, which I find hilarious. Emily is becoming her nemesis, even if their motives are different. Let the games begin!

“Hate is a lot like love. You can’t force it, you can’t fight it. You just have to embrace it when it comes along.”

What was Conrad up to at the end of the episode?

What is Emily planning with the Graysons? Does she really have a plan?

What does Patrick deserve for hurting Nolan?
