As everyone had expected, Brody is in really big trouble. Carrie, being Carrie and looking maybe a little bit mentally deranged is being questioned for her involvement with the bombing. Her alibi is really weak if you ask me. A team full of CIA spies and not one could think of a better cover-up. Fourteen hours in the bathroom, really? Also, even though she knows Brody looks as guilty as hell, she still tries to defend him, while hiding the truth, not the smartest move.
Another important note is that Carrie is of her meds and is buying way too much alcohol, her liver must be so bad.
Was it just me of does this guy look like he’s 18 years old?
I really have a tough time trusting Saul, but mostly, ever since I first saw her, I just can’t seem to shake of the idea that his wife is not as sweet as she wants us to believe. Saul is now the one that takes the decisions at Langley. The big mission, that ended up being a flop because:
1. They killed a kid
2. No one cared
essentially consisted of killing 6 civilians linked to the bombing. After thinking the operation through and deciding the CIA are not killers, Saul decides to kill them all anyways. Hourray for consistency!
I just don’t care for Brody’s family. I think I can relate to his daughter, not easy being the daughter of a terrorist. Jessica on the other hand is just so winey. She has to get a job, big deal, not like she’s the only one in America having to make a living to support her family.
I am not sure how to feel about the end of this episode. Saul’s declaration may seem convoluted and cold to some, but I am not sure what his intentions behind telling the truth was. Carrie is already in trouble, her story was out and there was nothing that could be done to get it back in. He may have saved her lots of trouble by declaring her mentally unstable. We know (or at least we think we know, never sure with this show) that Brody is not behind the bombing that killed more than 200 CIA officers. On the other hand, the jury does not, what were they going to sentence the women who had an ongoing relationship with the terrorist?
On a separate note, Congressman Brody, you were missed. Come back soon.
“If you are asking, did he outsmart me? Yes, he did. If you are asking, will I ever forgive myself? No, I won’t” - Carrie
Saul betrayed Carrie or helped her out?
Do you care for Brody’s family?
What’s up with Carrie’s father?
