THIRTEEN INITIAL EPISODES HAVE BEEN ORDERED
Upcoming scripted drama “Devious Maids” from “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry, which focuses on a group of maids working for the wealthiest and most powerful families in Beverly Hills, will bow on Lifetime on Sunday, June 23 at 10 p.m. ET. Inspired by hit telenovela, “Ellas son la Alegria del Hogar, 13 one-hour episodes of the ABC Studios produced project, which was originally developed for ABC, have been ordered. The ensemble cast includes Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, Edy Ganem, Judy Reyes, Brett Cullen and the beloved Susan Lucci.
In the series premiere, the women turn to one another for support when their friend and fellow maid Flora (Paula Garces) is brutally murdered at the home of her employers at one of the largest society events of the year.
