Once Upon a Time Spin-off - Casting News - Michael Socha cast as Knave of Hearts

28 Mar 2013

The Alice in Wonderland-themed entry has enlisted Michael Socha as the Knave of Hearts, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The Knave is described as a sardonic adventurer, a man of action, loner and heart-breaker -- the proverbial rolling stone. His swagger isn't quite enough to disguise the fact that he is unswervingly loyal and possessed of a strong moral code.

  1. I could have sworn that it was reported that a spin-off was premature. Am I wrong?

  4. No, it was reported that only the rumours on re-casting OUaT's Mad Hatter were premature.

Actually if they did want to recast the Mad Hatter role, Damien Moloney would not be a bad call! BH reunion!

  8. They're filming a Pilot of sorts in April. I have read two conflicting reports about when it would air. The first report was that it won't be ready in time for fall, the second report said it will be 13 episode seasons and run on OUAT hiatus (presumably summer)...

  9. 1. For ABC to make more money
    2. To have something ONCE-like when Once isn't on
    3. To expand on Once's over all mythology
    4. To see an additional Alice in Wonderland tale, as if it were a third novel.
    5. (It's been compared to American Horror Story by Creators) Darker tales.

  10. They're doing a four-scene preview of it for the network, not even a full pilot, so yeah, it's still kind of up in the air. However, they appear pretty confident about it.

  11. Thanks for the responses guys. So it looks like nothing is official. Either way I look forward to the character on Once.

  13. No. Not official, but since ABC is the one pushing for it, I think it's likely they'll pick it up.
