Thanks to The Spoiler Fairy for sending us the following..

For episode 2.12, the role of Gerhardt is being cast. He's a handsome, idealistic military man in his late 20s, with a family he loves.

  2. Sounds like almost every male character on the show. Fighter, idealistic, handsome, late 20s?

  3. There is often something about how good looking the person have to be on these casting things... God forbid to have someone ugly on the show :/

  4. Considering the amount of people who say they only watched for a hot guy or stopped watching when Graham got killed off, I'd say it was hugely important to the show.

  5. Yes, unfortunately, this is accurate.

  6. What episode is 2.12? Could it be a flashback showing Charming's father when he was young? That or some very german-related legend. The clue seems to be in "military man"...

  7. Maybe it's the "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" from Hans Christian Andersen (Danish)

  8. Every time a new character is cast I care less and less. I want more of the original cast,

  9. I actually don't mind as long as it ads something to the big picture. It's a waste of time to bring new characters on for the sake of new characters, but if they are necessary to tell the story (like Hook, for example), I'm fine with it.

  10. Jane Espenson is writing 2x12, she says Rumpel plays an important role but it's not a Rumpel-centric episode. There are rumours it's the Belle-centric Adam Horowitz tweeted about a few days ago

  12. Good idea! I like it. I believe there is famous Gerhardt that was a German hymn writer... It might fit in line with Grimm Bros.?!
