Brendan Fraser has departed TNT’s drama pilot Legends. The Mummy star was set to make his series debut with the project, developed by Howard Gordon, Jeffrey Nachmanoff and Mark Bomback from the novel by Robert Littell. He was to play the lead, Martin Odum, a deep-cover operative who has an uncanny ability to transform himself into a different person for each job. The parting of the ways happened after the actor and showrunner Gordon did not see eye to eye on the character and couldn’t bridge their creative differences. The role will now be recast.
