It’s been three months since we left the CBI catching Lorelai Martins, Red John’s mole.
How can you forget the way she said to Teresa Lisbon that she and Patrick Jane were lovers? Lisbon’s face was unspeakable.
Then Jane kissed Lorelai on the forehead saying “You’re gonna sing like a bird”, which means that in one way or another, she’s gonna tell them everything about Red John.
So, the waiting is almost over.
Why watch this première? I’ve taken a list of some reasons. Check it out.
The promo. CBS well knows how to keep a fandom under pressure and that promo was absolutely amazing. We know that Heller likes to put something to talk about – you know like the kiss between Lorelai and Jane, with Lisbon overhearing all the act – but also some moments between our favourite characters: Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon. He said “I told you not to listen” and she’s like “I’m not your girlfriend, I’m the officer of the law!”. This is gonna be hilarious since Jane told her partner not to listen his interrogation with Lorelai, but Lisbon disobeyed! Plus, Lorelai said to Jane “You’re a little bit in love with her” causing a confusing face on Jane. Wait... what? Lorelai si becoming a Jisbon shipper? No kidding. Plus, we’re getting to know another team on CBI who, I’m pretty sure, will cause problems with Lisbon’s team – just watch Cho reacting at the provocations!
Jane and Lisbon’s relationship. No doubt that after the last season finale, when Jane said to Lisbon “Love you”, everything won’t never be the same. We all know. Bruno Heller’s known for such a long time. Their relationship is gonna evolve during this season. Can’t you wait for Lisbon’s getting jealous at Jane’s attemps to seduce Lorelai in order to get information about Red John? Because that’s what Jane’s gonna do. It was time for those two to get closer and realize what they really feel for each others.
The darkness. Producer Bruno Heller promised this season we’re gonna have more darker Jane. The whole show evolved from a light one to a dark one. We’ve had a taste of this last season, and it will keep on going through this way. Who’s waiting to see a dark Jane? Dark Jane but also dark Lisbon. Yes, it seems the little agent will have her own arc story in this season, some episodes in which she will explore her “Red John side”... are you worried about?
Charlotte Jane. Is she or isn’t she? Apparently, Patrick Jane will meet a girl who claims to be her daughter, whom we know she died nine years ago, killed by Red John. What does she want from Jane? Is she real? Or is just Jane’s imagination? As far as we want to know the truth, we have to wait till the second episode of this amazing season.
Feelings, darkness and more Red John. These are the words you have to remember if you don’t want to miss this season. So stay tuned on September 30th, The Mentalist is coming back!
