    I'm glad to see they are embracing the DC world right off the bat, Unlike some shows that completely ignore it for 5 years and then proceed to dump everything in at once.

    To be fair, that's because Smallville writers insisted on doing the Pre-Crisis and waaayyyyy off brand version of the characters they got.

    If you have a universe full of villains at your disposal, why not use them instead of creating random people for him to face off against?

    I hope we see Shiva, Cheshire, David Cain, Sportsmaster, Tigress and Count Vertigo. They have dozens of non-powered villains to choose from. And a few powered ones who can be reimagined.
