Adorable little girl to play the sweet Shireen. Nina Gold appears to have struck gold again....
ReplyDeleteCool! I wonder what the plan for Shireen is, I assume it's just to introduce Greyscale early.
ReplyDeleteI doubt HBO are very she outed herself on twitter though :)
I know... It happened some last year too as I recall, but I bet HBO likes to keep a relatively tight hold on their PR.
ReplyDeleteI saw an unconfirmed twitter on another site, found her saying she got the role and the news stories etc... With the Nina Gold connection I am willing to bet its true.... First time I have been in on starting the promo machine I think! XD
I should maybe change the post title to "Unconfirmed" but I'm going to bed....
Wauw, that is really early that we are getting casting news fr season 3. Looks like great casting, once again.
ReplyDeleteLooks like she may have some insight into the character too.... or something relatively similar...

Found on another site... certainly looks like her a few years younger.....
Looking forward to seeing as Shireen.
Hard to tell for sure, but certainly she looks right for the part.
ReplyDeleteand worked on the 2012 film Les Misérables = Young Cosette.
ReplyDeleteThanks... I did not see her role when I looked earlier.
ReplyDeleteI'll add it to the post.
I wonder if her having brittle bone disease will limit her performance in anyway?
ReplyDeleteHonestly I never paid too much attention to Shireen in the books, but from what I recall it is a fairly inactive role. Plus, if she starred in a musical for an extended period of time I'm guessing she has learned to deal with it, treatment has helped. Is there such a thing as a "minor case" of brittle bone disease? I just don't know enough about it frankly.
ReplyDeleteAll hail Wikpedia!
There is a "minor" form I guess.

I'm not sure myself,i basically worked with multi handicapped children,i'll look it up abd see what i can find out,
ReplyDeleteThat acceptance speech is a hoot! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt better be an inactive roll, the littlest bang against anything will fracture.A strong wind could fracture her bones.
ReplyDeleteShe pretty much just walks around with Patchface and later befriends Edric Storm and Davos' surviving son. Nothing intense for her.
ReplyDeleteShe seems perfect and talented. Great casting.
ReplyDeleteApparently the Matilda musical is great so I think we may be onto a winner here. GOT casting directors have been so good with the kid roles which can really make or a break a show, they have all been impressive so far I'm sure Kerry will continue this.
ReplyDeleteIs it Sunday yet?
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with the actress, nor am I familiar with the character since I haven't read the books... but I've been impressed with the show's casting so far, so I trust it!
ReplyDeleteOh thank God. I was so scared they would eliminate her totally from the series. She really opened up the Stannis character and made me be able to feel for him in a way his interactions with Davos didn't.
