----------

-Rating Results:
CBS led the Sunday overnights, inching past NBC by two-tenths of a rating point (or three percent). But there is every reason to believe the 2012 AFC/NFC Pro Bowl on NBC will dominate among adults 18-49. In the distant No. 3 spot in the metered markets was ABC, which has not benefited since acquiring the Hallmark Hall of Fame titles from CBS, followed by distant Fox.

Older skewing CBS granddaddy 60 Minutes opened the evening tied for first with the NFC Pro Bowl at an 8.1 rating/13 share in the overnights at 7 p.m. That led into Undercover Boss (#2: 8.3/13 at 8 p.m.), which moves to Fridays at 8 p.m. on February 17, followed by The Good Wife (#1: 7.9/12) and veteran CSI: Miami (#1: 7.2/12) from 9-11 p.m. While CBS will certainly skew older for the evening, based on the overnights this was a “winning” night.

Over at NBC, the 2012 AFC/NFC Pro Bowl averaged an approximate 7.6/12 in the overnight from 8-11 p.m., with the half-hour breakdown as follows:

AFC/NFC Pro Bowl
7:00 p.m.: 7.3/12 (#2)
7:30 p.m.: 8.9/15 (#1)
8:00 p.m.: 8.8/14 (#1)
8:30 p.m.: 8.4/13 (#2)
9:00 p.m.: 7.1/11 (#2)
9:30 p.m.: 7.6/11 (#2)
10:00 p.m.: 7.2/11 (#1t)
10:30 p.m.: 5.9/10 (#2)

One year earlier, the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl on Fox was stronger at an 8.6/13 on Fox on 1/31/11. Keep in mind, as always, that results for any live sporting event are always approximate.

Elsewhere, hit ABC freshman drama Once Upon a Time was on the overnight map with a third-place 6.9/10 at 8 p.m. Comparably, that built from lead-in America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 4.3/ 7 at 7 p.m.) by 60 percent, with growth over year-ago occupant Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (5.5/ 8 on 1/30/11) of 25 percent. But the next title in ABC’s recently acquired Hallmark Hall of Fame series, A Smile As Big as the Moon, disappointed at a 3.9/ 6 from 9-11 p.m. with the half-hour breakdown as follows:

Hallmark Hall of Fame’s A Smile As Big as the Moon
9:00 p.m.: 4.0/ 6 (#4)
9:30 p.m.: 3.7/ 6 (#3)
10:00 p.m.: 4.0/ 6 (#3)
10:30 p.m.: 4.1/ 7 (#3)

Fox, of course, is dependent on the demos and not the overnights. That said, an encore telecast of Bob’s Burger’s opened the evening with a 1.2/ 2 at 7 p.m. (#4), followed by The Cleveland Show (#4: 1.9/ 3), The Simpsons (#4: 3.5/ 5), recent animated entry Napoleon Dynamite (#4: 2.9/ 4), Family Guy (#3: 4.3/ 6) and American Dad (#4: 3.4/ 5) from 7:30-10 p.m. Comparably, this was a series low for Napoleon Dynamite.
