  1. That's definitely not a typical Castle title.  Maybe it's just a placeholder title until someone thinks of a better one?

  2. Butterflies in general have many meanings within different cultures,
with the most common being symbols for life, love, change or rebirth.
Butterflies are also popularly thought to symbolize a person's essence,
or soul, either past, present or future. The color blue in a butterfly
is often thought to symbolize joy, color or a change in luck. Sometimes
a blue butterfly is viewed as a wish granter.

  4. I think The Blue Butterfly is also a film with William Hurt, as an entomologist who helps a ten years old boy terminally ill with cancer and takes him to the jungle to find the Blue Morpho butterfly...
Anyway I love this title :-)

  6. It's probably "Ryan's Wedding" all over again.

  7. Maybe, but isn't "blue" a reference to police amongst other things?

  8. I am so wanting this to have something to do with Alice and Wonderland. I would definitely cast Castle as the hookah smoking caterpillar turned blue butterfly.  Go Ask Kate when she's 10 feet tall.

  10. Maybe it's a name for a serial killer who always put blue butterfly on his victims after he killed them !

  14. I always loved the Noir film, "The Blue Dahlia."  This could be the sequel...
