It's been a while since Maura Tierney has done comedy on television, but she'll step back into that world later this season in a guest role on "The Office."
Tierney, the long-time "ER" star who was last seen on the final season of "Rescue Me," will play Robert California's (James Spader) wife, "Office" showrunner Paul Lieberstein tells Zap2it. She's currently signed for just one episode, which will likely air in late November or early December.
"I'm a big fan of hers," Lieberstein tells us. "I'm very excited."
