[CARA RILEY] Female; African American; 40’s-50’s; Prior to her devastating and severe case of paralyzed Multiple Sclerosis which has rendered her a quadriplegic she was a world renowned opera singer & a sight to see…beautiful; debonair and classy. That was 5 years ago. Now she can only communicate through facial expressions and blinking (once for yes, twice for no). If that is not bad enough, she has been physically abused by her sister Janice, and has recently been beaten & raped. (GUEST STAR – ASIDE FROM A VIDEO SHE HAS NO SPOKEN LINES)

[JANICE RILEY] Female, African American; 38-40’s; blue collar; Toughened by life, single mom @ age 17; over compensating, bitter chip on her shoulder, middle child syndrome although she’s the youngest, much put upon, just trying to make ends meet and care for her family self righteous but ultimately good hearted woman. Janice has always has been overshadowed by her super talented sister Cara. When Cara fell seriously ill years earlier she, with the help of her son Damien, they moved in and have been taking care of her hand and foot ever since. Is Janice to blame for the daily beatings and sodomy inflicted upon her helpless sister as our show begins?

[DAMIEN WOODS] Male, African American, 19-24yrs; Built like a Linebacker, yet a Gentle Giant. Caring; loving; disciplined and with too much responsibility for a kid his age. Tries to be unassuming yet will come alive if provoked. Damien has been helping his mother Janice take care of his Aunt Cara…not an easy job for such a young kid. Helps clean up after dog fights to help make ends meet. Is suspected of abusing his Aunt, but our detectives may be looking at the wrong guy. (GUEST STAR)

[EXECUTIVE ADA GARETT BLAINE] Male, Caucasian; Early 30’s-Late 40’s. Sharp, smart, fork-tongued and well put together Bureaucratic lifer with political aspirations. [TONY GRIEGS] Male; Caucasian; Mid 40’s-Late 50’s; Our secret bad guy!! Genial, well liked and approachable Blue Collar bus driver for the handicapped and impaired; neat, starched uniform, very official and responsible. He has probably been driving the Dial-a-Ride bus for decades and knows many of the passengers by name. He is teaching his future replacement Jake how to drive the bus and has taken him under his wing. When Cara Riley, a frequent passenger on the bus, is found beaten and raped it may not take us too long to determine our friendly Mr. Griegs could be hiding a not so friendly dirty little secret.(SUPPORTING GUEST)

[JAKE GLEASON] Male; Any Ethnicity; 20’s-Mid 30’s; Left with a Prosthetic Hand/Arm after having it blown off in Iraq; Optimistic; Baby faced, Anxious but determined; Dial-a-Ride bus driver in training. Is nervous while being taught how to drive the bus by his mentor Tony Griegs. Does not have the hang of it yet, but with some more experience he'll be just fine. When a usual passenger fails to show up at the bus stop, he goes to get her, only to find Cara Riley, raped and badly beaten.(THREE SCENES;15Lines)

[MARK HUBBARD] Male; Caucasian; Early 30’s-Early 40’s; Former live in Male Nurse; Cocksure wise ass with plenty of bravado; Has an extensive rap sheet, Fraud; Check Kiting; Drugs & Underage sex and is found smoking pot with an underage Asian girl in his apartment. He also has a habit of blackmailing and exploiting the weak. Suspected of raping and beating Cara Riley he shows our detectives secret video tapes which clear him of the charge….though nothing will clear him of kiddie diddling a child. (TWO SCENES)

[LEO IRVING] Male, Caucasian; 40’s-50’s; Well groomed, well paid, bureaucrat and head manager of the Healing Heart home care nursing company. Business has been good to Leo, and he’s been around long enough to know that not all abuse claims against his employees are valid. Even though he doesn’t appreciate the attitude of our detectives, he gives them the names of former nurses who could be suspects in the rape of Cara Riley. (ONE SCENE; 15 lines)

[BRENT WILLIAMS] Male; Any Ethnicity; 40’s-60’s; Blue Collar; Bus Dispatch – Dial –a-Ride Parking lot supervisor. No-nonsense but Supportive of his drivers; helpful and by the book.(ONE SCENE; 7-10 lines)

[OPERA INSTRUCTOR] Female; Any Ethnicity; 40’s-Mid 60’s; Grand Dame; Dignified; class; sophistication; former Opera star now trains up and comers in performance and technique. (ONE SCENE)

[DOCTOR] Male or Female; Any Ethnicity; 30’s-50’s; Doctor at a Group Nursing Home; informed; caring; thoughtful; good bedside manner. (5 lines)

[ASIAN GIRL] Female, Asian; 16-19 (Looks very underage because she is); Up to no good teen found smoking pot in 40 year old Mark Hubbard’s apartment. Admits to making out and heavy petting with Mark. (1 Line)

[DISABLED PASSENGERS] Male/Female, Any Ethnicity; Disabled; 20’s-50's+; Disabled passengers on the bus while Jake is doing a test drive. Although the Passengers are anxious to get to their physical therapy they realize that Jake is new to the job and must learn before his mentor Tony Griegs retires.(Teaser, 1-2 Lines each)
