    STORY LINE
When doubt is cast on his murder conviction, a man receives a 24 hour stay of execution -- very little time for Horatio and the team to reaffirm his guilt -- or establish his innocence...

[JAMES] Age 46.. this charming and charismatic former emergency room doctor is a convicted killer who has been on death row for 15 years. Also seen in flashback to the evening of the murder, James is about to be executed for killing his wife and daughter, and leaving his young son for dead. When doubt is cast on his conviction, he's granted a 24 hour stay of execution -- very little time for Horatio and his team to establish whether James is an innocent victim who is about to suffer a terrible injustice, or a cunning psychopath with dried blood on his hands...GUEST STAR

[TODD] Age 22, this troubled young man is James's son, who was assaulted and left for dead 15 years ago by the same slayer who killed his mother and little sister. His father was convicted of the crime and is about to be executed. Traumatized, conflicted and desperate for some kind of closure, Todd is unable to put his terrible experience behind him. When Horatio and his investigators comb over the old evidence, he's praying that his father will finally be cleared of his crime, but whether his hopes will be realized or dashed remains to be seen...GUEST STAR

[DONALD] Age 47, this weathered, jumpy former doctor becomes a suspect in the case. Donald, who lost his license for drug abuse some time back, is questioned by investigators regarding the old murder. When his DNA is linked to the case, Donald admits that he was having an affair with James's wife, Sarah. A coward haunted by a guilty secret, he is also seen in flashback to the night of the murder, 15 years previously...GUEST STAR

[LOUISE] In her 70s, this spry, sharp-witted, refreshingly feisty old woman was the star witness against James 15 years ago. When re-questioned by the CSI team, she admits that she was coerced into altering her story by the prosecution. However, Louise still knows exactly what she saw that night and insists that James is the culprit. When she's run over in a suspicious "accident," she may not get her chance to testify once again about the case...GUEST STAR.

[PHILLIP] In his 30s, this somewhat arrogant man runs over an elderly star witness with his Prius. He insists that the collision was purely accidental, but the fact that he is an anti-capital punishment fanatic who was determined to save James from execution casts doubt on his story...GUEST STAR. ANY ETHNICITY.

[SARAH] Age 28, this wholesome, attractive woman is the murder victim, a former nurse and PTA president who is seen in flashback to the fateful night of her deadly assault. Tired of her loveless marriage, Sarah wanted to leave James -- but whether her admission prompted him to murder is unclear -- for now...CO-STAR. RUN OF SHOW.

[DAISY] Age 35, this smart and aggressive reporter interviews Louise -- and turns up some startling new evidence in James's old murder case...CO-STAR.
