Remember that character I told you Three Rivers was looking to cast, the one who seemed a lot like French hunk Gilles Marini (even down to the name of the character (Luc) he plays on the ABC family drama)? Well, instead of a Frenchman, the CBS medical drama has cast Israeli hottie Oded Fehr as the charming Dr. Luc. The two episode arc, kicking off in 2010, finds Oded’s heart surgeon character returning to Three Rivers after working abroad. Expect him to clash with Alex O'Loughlin’s Dr. Yablonksi.
You may have seen Oded as Sleeper Cell’s Farik, Charmed’s Zankou or as Ardeth Bay in the Mummy movies.
Incidentally, when I ran into Gilles at our TV Guide Magazine Hot List Party, he got a real kick out of the fact that Three Rivers, which airs on Sunday nights opposite Brothers & Sisters, was looking to cast a character so similar to his artist loverboy, Luc Laurent. “I’m not surprised,” he said with a chuckle. “Our ratings went up when I came on.”
True—but will Oded also be wearing a skimpy swimsuit? On a medical drama, that might be a bit harder to explain.
