Thanks to Emma for the heads up.
The Office star Oscar Nunez celebrates his 51st birthday on November 18, and what a present he’s received from NBC!! The actor, who plays Dunder Mifflin's gay office worker Oscar Martinez, has been gifted with a hunky love interest who looks just like a younger version of Private Practice star Tim Daly. And for good reason. Tim’s handsome 25-year-old look-alike son, Sam Daly, will debut on the Dec. 10 episode of the NBC comedy as Oscar’s new younger beau. “He looks like Tim, except he has blonde hair,” reports Oscar -- seemingly smitten! “He’s six foot tall and really nice.”
Oscar teases that Sam’s character, Matt, is a new worker at the paper company, and may return for more episodes, since his introduction went over so well. “It’s a very funny episode, so he might come back a couple times for an arc," says Oscar.
And how does Oscar feel about essentially playing a male cougar? “Well, obviously Matt is younger,” he acknowledges. But it may take awhile before Oscar’s co-workers – specifically Michael (Steve Carell), get to use this information against him. “I’m not sure if people at the office are going to find out about this right away.”
We're just glad we're in the know. Way to go, Oscar!
