[MIA V.] 18 to early 20s, lovely, strong-willed, talented, determined, Mia is the daughter of the famous flying Visyaks, a world-renowned trapeze team that died tragically during a performance when she was just a child. She unfortunately saw it and it has haunted Mia her whole life. After the death of her family, Cleo the clown, who was a close friend to her parents, adopted her. But she was raised by the whole circus. She wants to take the family name to new heights and has a new act that can do it. Now common, aerial silk shows were a new thing in 1971. As Mia perfected her act she was also discovering who she was as a woman in the psychedelic Age of Aquarius. [STANLEY "CLEO" B. (1971)] Late 30s to early 40s (Stake Holder) - Stanley, is a circus clown and an alcoholic. He never drank till the show was over. And was always there for his fellow performer. [LESTER "GARGANTUAN" S. (1971)] 28 years old - Strongman, low IQ. Lenny from "Of Mice and Men." Lester was Biggie's muscle. He is HUGE. An outcast. He secretly loves Mia. [LESTER "GARGANTUAN" S. (2010)] 60s - Strongman. Lester was Biggie's muscle. He is HUGE. An outcast. He secretly loves Mia. Has a history of psychotic outbreaks. He's now on meds. Lester grew up in the freak show but was rescued by Biggie. [EDDIE F. (1971)] 25, handsome but dangerous, Eddie's a "spieler" for the Jones Brothers Circus (he stands outside the tents urging people in to see the acts), but he's also got a rap sheet that includes drugs, cons and kiting checks. He's attracted to Mia, and has a romantic scene with her in which they both take acid and have a psychedelic frolic around the circus grounds--until they're interrupted by Mia's guardian, Cleo the Clown...GUEST STAR (1)

[EDDIE F. (2010)] 63, the kind of trucker that gives truckers a bad name, Eddie's cocky and a bit obnoxious, but the years have not been kind. Questioned by Miller and Vera, he describes his night of psychedelic romance with Mia...1 DAY GUEST STAR (33)

[ZELDA P. (2010)] 70s, still in great shape, lots of makeup and moxie, smart, she's a professional knife thrower, formerly with the Jones Brothers Circus, but still working the blue plate dinners for seniors. Well educated, well traveled, very famous in her time (been on the Ed Sullivan Show), Zelda is questioned by Vera and Miller about Mia's death in 1971...1 DAY GUEST STAR (14)

[ZELDA "QUEEN OF KNIVES" P. (1971)] Late 30s-early 40s, the exotic, colorful, colorfully made-up knife thrower with the Jones Brothers Circus, she's very protective of her headlining position with the Circus, and reacts instinctively when she sees that Mia might upstage her: she throws a knife right by Mia's neck, just grazing the skin and drawing blood...GUEST STAR (1)

[ISABEL (2010)] 40s, exotic, good looking, a psychic, she was a little girl at the Jones Brothers Circus i 1971 when aerialist Mia fell to her death. She always felt Mia's death was murder, and she now has some slight evidence that makes her bring her feelings to the cops. She is articulate and specific, and before she leaves, she makes a pointed comment to Valens about his mother...1 DAY GUEST STAR (4)
