[ANDREA] EARLY 20's, HISPANIC, Andrea - pretty, alone and fragile - reluctantly shows up at her court-ordered rehab where she just wants to do her time and go. Andrea is heartened to meet Jesse (Aaron Paul), whom she believes thinks just like she does. Andrea has lived in Albuquerque all her life, not in poverty but definitely not middle class either. The mother of a four year old, she is just recently off drugs and not currently using, but she has not yet totally committed to being drug free. She has a strong inner core and is a good mother. Raised by an addict, Andrea currently lives with her grandmother and has survived a tough and hard existence surrounded by drugs and the struggles of every day life.
