The Mentalist is adding a new regular to its CBI team beginning in early 2010. The character’s name is Agent Beth Scott, described as a forty-something, authoritative African American woman who is a veteran in the California Bureau of Investigations headquarters. She is expected to remain on the show for the duration of the season and perhaps beyond.
