The fall TV season is not the time for networks to be modest. It seems like every show is billed as either "sensational," "hilarious," or "addictive." But, let's be honest. The vast majority could be better described as "average, "mildly amusing," or "OK if you have nothing better to do." With that in mind, we dug into the Web Search data to see which of the Fall's new shows inspired the most lookups following their premieres. These are ten shows that got viewers looking for more.
Vampire Diaries: Will blood-sucking metrosexuals ever go out of style? Apparently not. The CW's newest hit show was among our top 75 overall searches following its premiere on September 10. And in the time since, the searches haven't slowed. Lookups on the show's cast, which includes Nina Dobrev and "Lost" alum Ian Somerhalder also continue to suck (in a good way).
Melrose Place: After the show premiered on September 8, searches surged an astounding 684%. The future looked rosy for the impossibly beautiful residents of Melrose Place. Since then, however, the lookups have taken a tumble. Whether the falling interest portends a cancellation remains to be seen.
Glee: The TV musical actually premiered earlier this summer and then made fans wait for months for episode two. Following the premiere episode, "Glee" surged into our top 400 overall terms. And with crowd-pleasing musical numbers every week, we doubt interest will fade anytime soon.
